Calgary/New Orleans Regression Punishments - Eggy216 - 10-16-2019

Hello SHL,

For failing to regress goaltender Cédric Moreau, the general managers of New Orleans, @TheDangaZone and @JKortesi81 have each been fined $2,000,000, equivalent to this season's GM pay. In addition, seeing as he has already been rostered for 30 games with an improper build, Moreau will be suspended the remainder of S50, including playoffs. He cannot be cut until the end of New Orleans' S50 season.

This penalty is subject to appeal which would be reviewed by myself and Leafs4Ever.

For failing to regress defender Viktor Valentine, the general managers of Calgary, @Steelhead77 and @c00kies have each been fined $2,000,000 equivalent to this season's GM pay. In addition, seeing as he has already been rostered for 30 games with an improper build, Valentine will be suspended the remainder of @50, including playoffs. He cannot be cut until the end of Calgary's S50 season.

This penalty is subject to appeal which would be reviewed by Leafs4Ever.

For issues concerning the regression of Shooter McGavin, the general managers of Calgary, @Steelhead77 and @c00kies have each been fined an additional $2,000,000, equivalent to this season's GMs pay.

This penalty is subject to appeal which would be reviewed by Leafs4Ever.

Also relating to this issue, updater @TnlAstatine has been fined $1,000,000 for failing to follow proper updating procedures leading to this issue. Head updater @Blastmeaway has also been fined $1,000,000.

These penalties are subject to appeal which would be reviewed by myself and Leafs4Ever.

We're still working on one other (semi-related) issue but we need to call it a day. The issue in question is being resolved before the following sim, but any penalties stemming from the situation will not be dealt with until tomorrow so that we can actually live lives outside of a sim league for a while.

On behalf of the SHL Head Office,

Eggy216, SHL Commissioner

How does McGavin not get suspended for the illegal build like Moreau and Valentine? That would be consistent with the other two punishments

I think he didnt get suspended because he TRIED to update

RE: Calgary/New Orleans Regression Punishments - crutch - 10-16-2019

pretty stupid imo that mcgavin doesn't have to sit out games as well.

regardless of whether or not c00kies submitted updates, it's ultimately on the GMs to ensure that their players are updated. In this case, this didn't happen.

IMO the way things should have gone

c00kies submits updates
updater declines updates, messages c00kies + esa
esa either gets c00kies to do regression, or does mcgavin's regression himself
esa messages back updater letting him know that mcgavin's regression has been handled
updater inputs mcgavin's update into the update thing
we avoid this entire mess

but

here we are

I WANT A RESIM BECAUSE THAT ISNT FAIR TO ALL OTHER TEAMS!

and I thought if you have a 2nd offense for missed the GM duties you have a way harsher punishment. I cant see the link to the jcink site. please check this up if this happened and then use this punishment if someone missed it not the first time. Smile

in my opinion it is always on the Team management ... idk why the Updaters must be punished or blamed about that?

the job of the updaters are work in the correct update posts and if they arent correct than its the job of the GM or Co-GM. In the same case here we talk about a SHL Co-GM he didnt his update post correct and for/with that he didnt get updated with his regression. Its the job by all players to look in their player page weekly and if he cant then its the job of the Managers in my opinion.

its funny because if you go look at my track record i'm usually vocal to people i'm updating,
can ask @JKortesi81 and @SlashACM.

He tried but he literally didn't follow the rules on how to post updates in an update thread. He posted broken links AND in multiple posts, both of which are not correct ways to update. It is clear that TnlAstatine addressed everything in that most recent update post, which is what he is supposed to do as an updater unless updater rules are a bit different. AND c00kies did this as a longtime GM on his second (at least?) player in regression.

It's amazing that Calgary continues to avoid full punishments by feigning ignorance.
