Is there legit no team out there that wants to sign the best goalie in the league? I just checked, he's the highest TPE goalie in the entire league.

Am I missing something here? I don't buy the idea that he just rubs some people the wrong way, I had 5 teams contact me my first day of FA. Are you going to try to tell me that Slash has rubbed more people the wrong way than I have? Are people afraid that he's the reason NOLA imploded? This is just bizarre to me.

RE: Aleister Cain - luke - 09-23-2020

i think the problem is that more teams have goalies

RE: Aleister Cain - Mazatt - 09-23-2020

Teams have goalies and if you have a dude that's going to make 1 or 2 people on most teams feel unwelcome, you probably don't want that despite how good he is

RE: Aleister Cain - PremierBromanov - 09-23-2020

another reason to let us deploy two goalies at once

Why? He's not a homophobe, he's not a racist, etc.

I mean I think we should make backups actually matter by raising the number of games per season and adding more back to backs.

6m minimum is a tough pill to swallow for a lot of teams in the first place.

So it's a money issue?

RE: Aleister Cain - boom - 09-23-2020

Slash is an old and expensive goalie who rubs some people the wrong way and most teams already have a goalie. It makes sense.

RE: Aleister Cain - golden_apricot - 09-23-2020

Why would we spend 6M on a goalie when we have the best goalie in the league at 2M? Right @"Awesomecakes"

RE: Aleister Cain - Gwdjohnson - 09-23-2020

Goalies are extremely saturated in the league rn and anyone that has the space isn't a team that wants to be spending 6+mil on a goalie.

I think it comes down to Slash just being an expensive free agent goalie at the worst possible time.

RE: Aleister Cain - WannabeFinn - 09-23-2020

He’s a goalie (saturated market), he has a 6m minimum contract, and he’s rubbed enough people the wrong way. When Tampa Bay acquired a goalie not named Cain it was game over.

RE: Aleister Cain - golden_apricot - 09-23-2020

oh also this apparently

People would rather keep the rest of their roster on the team, instead of risking everyone wanting out because they dont want to be associated with someone like him.

I don't see it, if BUF was willing to allow me into the LR then the sky is the limit

If the issue really is just cap space that's real unfortunate. Imagine earning so much TPE that you price yourself out of a job
