SMJHL Co-Commisioner Presser - FuzzSHL - 06-01-2022

Hello everyone!

I've done a few of these before so most of you know my background by now. I am excited, thrilled, and honored to take on the role of SMJHL Co-Commissioner alongside @ACapitalChicago.

If anyone has any questions regarding myself, Head Office, or the SMJHL I will be answering as many questions as you all ask!

Until I truly learn how to use effect and affect effectively, that's not happening. So his job is safe forever.

Honestly, I think things have been getting a lot better as of late when it comes to supporting and working with Juniors HO. If communication stays consistent between both Head Offices I think things will continue to move in a positive direction.

We'll all have to wait and see

Honestly, I'm excited to just continue to work with some amazing people and do what I can to keep the J the positive place that it has been for as long as I can remember. Obviously there are bumps in the road every now and then, but the J truly emulates what sim leagues are supposed to be about, and I'm excited to keep being a part of that.

First impressions? I've been a member of SMJHL Head Office for a little over a calendar year and, for the moment, it sort of just feels like nothing has changed. That isn't a bad thing at all, though. I'm really looking forward to continuing the conversations we've been having lately.

Do you have any immediate or long term goals as co-commissioner?

Who is your pick to win the Four Star Cup?  The Challenge Cup? The Stanley Cup?
Thanks Huck!

My immediate goal is to tackle the pending FHM8 transition and continue to monitor the recently implemented Post-Draft FA Waiver System. There are some other issues and concerns we are keeping an eye on, but those at the moment are the two most pressing things that I would like to put my focus on. Long term I think I really just want to try and get a few things a little more stable for life after ACap and myself. As long as I don't royally screw something up during my time as commissioner, I'll be happy.

For the Four Star my eyes are on Detroit. I don't think we've ever seen a season like the one they are putting together, and I think anything short of a Cup will leave them quite disappointed. As for the Challenge Cup, well...I'd be hard pressed not to include my Los Angeles Panthers as strong contenders, but I don't like to put that kind of juju on my team.....feels almost like jinxing if I get too excited. A lot of work to be done. San Francisco is a monster of a team as well, they are a lot stronger than their record shows. Chicago is having a "down year" yet still is 3rd in the league at the moment. In the east, Baltimore and Buffalo should be two favorites to go far, but don't sleep on Winnipeg. Showing up on the scene a lot sooner than expected, that's for sure. Could be a dark horse.

Not quite yet, unfortunately. But it certainly has been nice seeing you around again, thief, glad to have you back!

Anyone can be fired, but no one will be fired without reason.
