We'd like to take this opportunity to say farewell to @jbay7 Jarrod Lakemore as he embarks on a new career with Team Latvia! Thank you Jarrod for your time with the Great Britain. We wish you all the best.

We'd also like to take time to recognize the official retirement of 3 British greats. In no particular order

@KenitohMenara (Alexis Saint-Michel) a man who needs no introduction but we have one anyway. Kenitoh has emerged as one of the SHLs most dedicated users and to my knowledge the ONLY streamer with game-time commentary, a feature I sorely miss. Thankfully, Kenitoh has re-appeared with a new player and thus retired his old one. We wish him all the best with his new team and kindly ask he play poorly against GB whenever possible.

@GoonerBear (Robert E. O. Speedwagon, Reginald MacIntyre). Goonerbear has been a huge part of the Great British success arc through the S40s and S50s as Reginald MacIntyre and returned to us again as REO Speedwagon. With 4 gold medals and a bunch more bronze and silver, Gooner is possibly the most awarded Brit in the history of the IIHF. Recently Gooner announced his retirement of his player REO Speedwagon. Thank you Gooner for your support and hard work, we wish you well in your future endeavours.

@Aephino (Edward Williams) Ed Williams was a dominant force for texas and Great Britain in the late 50s and early 60s, leading us to 2 gold medals and a handful of silver and bronzes. After a brief period of inactivity, Ed was finally retired this season ending a long and storied career. We are hopeful that his sig "Zedward Williams" is a real thing and that he will lead a new era of british dominance.

Thank you all, and good luck out there in the tournament!

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.
