Twas the night before free agency, when all through the league, GMs were stirring, making plans and intrigue. The players were all nestled in their virtual beds, While visions of contract offers danced in their heads.
The GM of the Calgary Boom was feeling the heat, He had his eye on Kayden Pale, who was quite a feat. As For Montreal and Seattle he wanted too speak with, And Boom knew it would be tough to buy.
The cap space was tight, the negotiations intense, Boom worked hard to make a deal that made sense. But Kayden Pale had his heart set on greener pastures, And Boom was feeling the pressure.
The clock ticked away, the free agency deadline loomed, Boom knew he needed to seal the deal soon. He offered Pale everything he could afford, But the player's eyes were set on a different reward.
