Starting at the conclusion of this season, New England is will be recognizing our players for their achievements. We’ve announced the following awards to be awarded annually.

Nathan Russell Leadership Award
This award is named after New England Wolfpack legend Nathan Russell. Russell acted as General Manager and on ice leader from S22-S29, capturing the Challenge Cup as GM in S23 and setting the table for an elite dynasty during the early S30s. Russell is a SHL Hall of Fame player from the S37 class, was a Dar Trophy recipient in S28 and S30, and a recipient of the Damian Littleton Trophy in S32. Russell’s #14 was raised to the Boston Garden rafters. The Nathan Russell Leadership Award shall be awarded annually to the Wolfpack player that best exemplifies stellar leadership qualities on and off the ice throughout the season.

Patrikov Bure Trophy
Patrikov Bure is the all time franchise leader in points here with the Wolfpack, eclipsing Nathan Russell’s achievements by a slim 13 point margin. He tallied 272 goals and 348 assists in his illustrious SHL career, with all 850 games played coming in a New England Wolfpack uniform. Bure was part of the early S30s New England dynasty that saw the Pack capture three Challenge Cups. Bure also reeled in the S31 Anton Razov Trophy. Whenever the puck was on Bure’s stick, Wolfpack opponents were on their heels. It’s this offensive spirit that we want to recognize with this trophy. The Patrikov Bure Trophy will be awarded annually to the Wolfpack player that has the most dynamic and productive offensive season.

Jasper Clayton Trophy
Similarly to Nathan Russell, Jasper Clayton was a leader on the ice and in the front office. His tenure as GM speaks for itself as one of my predecessors, he is the first SHL GM to be added to the SHL Hall of Fame in the Builder Category. In addition to his stalwart and stellar management style, Clayton was an intimidating presence on the blue line. Clayton was also part of the Wolfpack dynasty, hoisting three Challenge Cups over his head during his tenure as a Wolfpack blue liner. Clayton won the S35 Damian Littleton Trophy as well as the S38 Scott Stevens Trophy. The Jasper Clayton Trophy shall be awarded to the Wolfpack player that performs the best on the defensive side of the game annually.

Raven Silverwing Award
Raven Silverwing was a name that came out of nowhere in the SMJHL. Raven Silverwing managed to slip all the way to the 4th round and picked 30th overall by the Montreal Impact in the S26 SMJHL Entry Draft. Silverwing managed to carve out an illustrious career for himself through his 650 game SHL career, all of which came in the New England Wolfpack uniform. Silverwing collected 541 points which was good enough for a 0.83 points per game pace. Silverwing also joined Clayton and Bure as part of that New England dynasty that saw the team capture three Challenge Cups. Despite such a low draft slot in the SMJHL, Silverwing goes to show that even the quietest of prospects and the latest of draft picks can turn the tables and result in greatness. The Raven Silverwing Award shall be awarded annually to the Wolfpack player that most exceeds expectations.

Congratulations to @prettyburn, @Eggy216, @Kevin Juice Bieksa and @Raven for having their individual accomplishments and achievements forever linked to what they've done for this New England franchise. You're all truly deserving of this honor and we look forward to continuing to move forward here in New England but ensuring that we can honor our storied past.
