All right folks, lets get straight to the point.  Canada National team is off to a great start, in their first 4 games own a record of 3 wins and 1 loss which is good for first in the conference.  A conference group made up of Team DACH, UCORCAL and World who were the first opponents for team Canada.

Game 1 Team World 2 vs Team Canada 4

Canada comes out  sluggish in this one and team World tries to take advantage of the situation. But they only manage to score 2 goals in this period, largely dominated by team World in shots taken and puck possession, the end result was a 2-2 draw.  Thankfully the top line (@Naosu @Smirnov Light @scottisheyebrow) a.k.a Shepard-Kofix-Corrigan  shed some light in the third and came out to play hard and fast, playing a north south brand of hockey helped to rally the team to a dominant performance by out shooting their opposition 14 to 1.

Canada goaler Frans Eller @Ace makes 15 saves on 17 shots for the easy win.
World goaler Separa Borro @Lyezech makes 23 saves on 27 shots and gets tagged with the loss.  (goalie Borro is on loan from Team Canada)

Game 2 Team Canada 5 vs Team UCORAL 4

Again in this one Canada come out slow and sloppy.  Mustering but only 18 shots on goal for the entire game which included an extra 4:43s of overtime, to see Cheezy @sailingdrumstick notch in the winner and the first of his tournament.  But the star of the game came from a different source, scoring his 3rd goal of the game with 40s remaining, Kofix ties it all up with a bute on the power play.  Fianl score CAN 5-UCORAL 4, a heart breaker nonetheless.

Canada goalie Frans Eller makes 13 saves on 17 shots
Canada goalie Ian Venables  @Budgie enter the game at 14:01 2nd period and makes 7 saves on 7 shots for the win.
UCORAL goalie Mike Hroch @Jabs makes 13 saves on 18 shots

Game 3 Team Canada 2  Vs Team Finland 4

The slow starts keep trending for team Canada, although slightly better this game, they do give up an early goal just past the first minute mark of the game. Canada fared well in the dot circles and on special teams but  Finland were relentless and were constantly first on the puck.  When they were not first, well, they were laying the body, hard and frequently,  as the Finnish coach shortened his bench and rolled just 3 lines for most(all) of the game.

Canada goalie Frans Eller 16 saves on 20 shots gets the loss (1-1-0)
Canda goalie Ian Venables makes 3 saves on 3 shots
Finland goalie White Goodman @Jearim makes 22saves on 24 shots for the win (2-1-0)

Game 4 Team Canada 5 Vs Team DACH 3

These two teams came to the rink on a mission with both having ups and downs during the coarse of the game.  Canada jumps out with a fast goal,  just 18s in and pad that lead with 2 more goals by the end of the period, leaving DACH players wondering what just happened being out shot 15 to 3.

In the second period the teams exchanged chances as both goalies stood on their heads.  Evenly matched till the late minutes of this period, when the tide began to turn in favor of team DACH.  The line of Bischoff @dylanjj37, Harrington @"NeonLime" (snub revoked) and Wagner @sve7en went to work.  Rallying the team with some good shifts and chipping in with a goal to bring them in striking distance.

But the Canada squad resilient as they are, led by dman Luciano Vessot @NJBadApple with a stellar showing picking up 3 assists  and  their top line of Shepard-Kofix-Corrigan dominate the game picking up a combined 10 points together.  Suppressed in their own end  for most of the third being out shot 13 to 5, it was goaltender Frans Eller's turn to shine. He  made some spectacular saves, showing flashes of  his glove and pad work to seal the fate of team DACH once and for all.

Canada goalie Frans Eller 27 saves on 30 shots improves to (2-1-0)
DACH goalie Cillian Kavanagh @takethehorizon stops 25 of 29 shots (2-2-0)

This years team has some explosive fire power on that top line.  Add to the mix top defensive pairing Augustus Wang @Ferda, Jack Kanoff @jeffie43 and a very  solid number 3 like Sabo Tage @Glyc.  The only rookie on the team is D-Will Windsor @Allegiant.   The coach and GM have their fingers crossed that this can be a Gold Medal year.  Too soon to tell as just 4 preliminary games have been played and still lots of hockey to play and decide this Championship!
