 The start season S53 cannot begin any sooner for the young forward selected at #7 overall by the Kelowna Knights.  All be it proud and humble to join a great organization with some great players, number 19 if available is already focused on the upcoming season.  Having already spoken with management  ahead of the draft about various roster positions or roles available on the upcoming edition of the Knights, Daniel has already a good idea of what awaits him.  Nose to the grindstone he begins a vigorous training program setup by elite coaching staffs provided by the organization.  

Going into this seasons training camp will not be an easy one, but dedication and perseverance are  assets that cannot be denied.  Already aware of his defensive short comings,  he devotes his time and commits to the process of self improving this aspect of his game.  Improving his defensive awareness and zone coverage were a must and has shown already a staggering improvement.  Although he may never be your go to guy to close out  a period  or final minute of the game he has recently shown the work ethic and maturity for a "team first mentality".  

Off ice sessions with his personal trainer have become a commodity and out most importance to him, focusing mainly on strength and  endurance to with stand the long season ahead.  Determined to become the best player in the SMJHL one day is his objective and will not deteriorate from this plan.  Already familiar with some veteran players on the team from different discords around the league,  has shown maturity and  great improvement and understanding of the game.

Not focusing on his offensive game and embarking on some different challenges he is ordinarily accustomed to,  has not phased the kid one bit.  Confident as allows he stays focused and follows the program handed out to him.  This is what we call a "coach-able kid" and hopefully success will follow him everywhere he goes!
