So the Casino season is winding down, all that awaits us now is the finals predictions. Who will come home with the Cup this season? Will anyone get a big odds payout? The only thing left to do now is watch and wait.

But wait! What’s that on the horizon?

*squints*

Oh look, it’s the next Casino feature debuting in S51!

I bet you’re all super excited to meet her. She’s quite the lovely piece of work, let me tell you, and she can make someone a lot of money, and a lot of people none. She’s a fun little thing just waiting for you to enter her…

Ok maybe I took that too far, but still. It’s here! Are you ready?

It’s the SHL Survivor Pick-Em League!

You might be asking yourself “Really, that’s it?” or “What the hell is that?” Well, let me try to interest and enlighten you.

The SHL Survivor Pick-Em League will be a seasonal buy-in league where players will have to choose one game per day (in weekly increments) and attempt to continue (survive) as long as possible picking the winners. Once you pick a loser, you’re out. At the end of it all, the last player standing wins the pot.

Simple enough right? Sure is! What’s the catch? Not much

The league will be a $250,000 buy-in, and the league will be run on a Discord server primarily. Don’t have Discord? Sucks to be you I guess? No seriously, just download it. This will be a fun time for everyone, especially the winner! And what’s 250K to SHL folks these days? Seriously, if you can’t afford that, you need to create some media, or be sure you win this league otherwise I guess!

There’s a few minor rules to mention:

- If 2 or more players end the regular season without losing, they will split the pot.

- Alternatively, if all of the remaining players lose on the same game, they will split the pot as all players are then eliminated.

- Failing to complete the weekly pick-em form before the deadline will result in a loss and removal from the league.

- Players who lose will be stripped of the Discord role for those remaining but are welcome to remain until the end of the season and will get a special #losers-chat channel to crap talk those remaining without their knowledge.

And finally, one question that was brought up to me I’d like to clarify now. The Casino and Survivor league will be separate entities in that you may participate in both at the same time. This is all for fun, and money, so please, I hope you all look forward to this and join up, the more the merrier…. And the bigger the jackpot!

Absolutely good sir.

For each day (Monday, Tuesday, etc) I'll choose one game from that sim as the game of choice for that day (ie. NEW vs TEX for Monday's sim, CGY vs LAP for Tuesday's sim, etc)

As for the weekly increment portion, I'll supply a sheet that will give a week's worth of games (ie. Mon-Sun) to choose from, likely supplying it 2-3 days before the first sim, for everyone to choose from, so everyone doesn't have to check the Discord and fill out a form each and every day.
