SMJHL Draft position: 20th Overall - Falcons
Projected SHL Draft Position: Top 10
First Name: Noro
Last Name: Wozy
Position: LW
Jersey Number: 87
Height (ft.): 5'11
Weight (lbs.): 200
Birthplace: Sweden
Player Type: Offensive Forward
GP: 50 | G: 10 | A: 18 | PTS: 28

- Hailing from the land of the 3 crowns, Noro Wozy comes from the small town of *GENERAL AREA SWEDEN*, a small rural town with a small but passionate hockey community. Being one of the real late round steals of the S33 SMJHL draft, we will kick off the prospect coverage with this diamond in the rough. Coming in at 5'11 and 200 lbs even Wozy is one of the smaller players height wise, but what he lacks in height he makes up with his incredible core strength. He has a solid scoring touch, with the gas tank of a hybrid vechile almost never running out of energy. Have a phone booth near by? He will stick handle in it, and refuse to cough up the puck. Wozy has since his introduction into the league pushed himself to the top end available left wingers available. He had a very solid rookie showing and will look to improve on that during his 2nd season in Juniors most likely seeing top end minutes for the Falcons squad. The only real downside to his game is he is not one to push the physical play on the ice, but playing his role effectively, there will never be a need to.

SMJHL Draft position: 7th Overall - Falcons
Projected SHL Draft Position: Top 10
First Name: Roddy
Last Name: Hawkins
Position: D
Jersey Number: 98
Height (ft.): 6'5"
Weight (lbs.): 220lbs
Birthplace: Ottawa, Ontario
Player Type: Two-Way Defenseman
GP: 50 | G: 9 | A: 14 | PTS: 23

- Maybe not one of the first names to pop into the conversation for many as we approach the draft Hawkins has made a point to force himself into the conversation as one of the top D men available. A good ol' Canadian boy hailing from the nations capital itself Hawkins grew up in the local rinks of the greater Ottawa area taking in all the professional sports sights and sounds. He would not tip his hat to any favoured destinations, but many wonder if he is hoping maybe local teams Toronto or Hamilton might call his name. Hawkins brings a solid 2 way game to the table as seen by his ability to put up the Goals on specialty teams (Leading the class with 7) and Shot blocks (70). He also has a nice physical edge to his game, using the size he has to good use having one of the highest Hit differentials of the class as well (+62). Any team that looks at Hawkins as an option will get exactly what they want from a good 2 way defender. The only weakness seen in his game? His conditioning in strength related fields are a bit suspect, but from his early showings may not be an issue as he will just out hit heavily the amount of times he gets caught.

SMJHL Draft position: 5th Overall - Falcons
Projected SHL Draft Position: Top 5
First Name: Jakub
Last Name: Trocheck
Position: Defense
Born: Prague, Česká Republika!
Jersey Number: 44
Height (ft.): 6'2"
Weight (lbs.): 212 lbs
Player Type: Offensive Defenseman
GP: 50 | G: 4 | A: 15 | PTS: 19

-Zde přichází boom!!!! What does that mean you say? Well Google Translate tells me it's "Here comes the boom" in czech so it can't be wrong.....right? Ahh forget, we are taking away the focus from whats important. Jakub Trocheck is whats important. Hailing from the capital of the Czech Republic comes the Defensive prospect everyone has had their eye on. This young, but passionate individual has come storming into the SMJHL and now SHL draft with quite the following. With links to the SMJHL management teams for reprsentation of players, to the hype that saw him land in the 5th overall slot for the SMJHL draft, Trocheck has his work cut out for him. As we approach the draft slowly but surely this young Czech defenseman is poised to meet his taken position in Juniors and is most likely to head to the SHL as another top 5 pick. The most arguably best defenseman available teams would be crazy to let this talent drop past the first 5 picks. Maybe not wowing anyone immediately with his season totals (The transition to the American ice was a bit jarring to start the year), his ceiling seems almost sky high right now. A defense man who can shoot, skate and block shots all while keeping control of the puck and play is a great asset to any team, and Trocheck looks to be just that.

SMJHL Draft position: Free Agent
Projected SHL Draft Position: 2nd - 3rd Round Selection
First Name: Jakub
Last Name: Dvorak
Position: RW
Jersey Number: 73
Height (ft.): 6'0"
Weight (lbs.): 171 lbs
Birthplace: Czech Republic
Player Type: Sniper
GP: 24 | G: 3 | A: 4 | PTS: 7

- A little late to the show with the young Czech sniper having trouble getting his Visa's sorted out to make the transition to the Juniors as well as the Czech youth program desperately trying to cling onto the youngster in an attempt to keep talent on home soil, Dvorak bolted finally and made the choice to join the SMJHL. Seeing not as much playing time as some of the other draft hopefuls (24 games) leaves less for the scouts and teams to analyze. This youngsters game is still very raw but shows some promise. Many teams won't take to large of a reach for this player but they do some signs of growth and potential. Born in the wilds of the Czech republic as he has no home town, Dvorak's game resembles his birth place as it stands in the middle of no where right now with no exact direction of where it wants to go yet. Back to the Czech Republic? Or inceased drive to succeed and push towards the SHL. Only time will tell.

SMJHL Draft position: Free Agent - Undrafted
Projected SHL Draft Position: 2nd Round
First Name: Luca
Last Name: Meier
Position: LW
Jersey Number: 18
Height (ft.): 5'10"
Weight (lbs.): 180
Birthplace: Zurich, Switzerland
Player Type: Sniper
GP: 24 | G: 3 | A: 2 | PTS: 5

- Not exactly a hot bed for Hockey super talents Switzerland still manages to churn out some pretty get players. Luca Meier is no exception to that very fact. Much like a few other european transfers, Meier's entry into the SMJHL was a bit delayed as details were sorted and he had to decide when the commitment would be made. His experience was shorter lived than most and didn't really overwhelm with his totals, but he rose quickly past some more noteable players to put himself into the talks for Top 20 and the middle to higher 2nd round picks. Meier is bogged down a bit by the sheer wealth of great LW's available this year, but still boasts a strong game, with a little bit different set of tools to work with compared to the rest of the class. He has promise, but has to stick with it if he is truly going to make a run of it and succed at the professional level.

SMJHL Draft position: 4th Overall - Militia
Projected SHL Draft Position: Top 10
First Name: Vesa
Last Name: Perhonen
Position: C
Jersey Number: 91
Height (ft.): 6'0
Weight (lbs.): 190 pounds
Birthplace: Helsinki, Finland
Player Type: Playmaker
GP: 50 | G: 9 | A: 11 | PTS: 20

- Impressing in last years WJC, Vesa Perhonen was quickly grabbed in the SMJHL draft earning a title of belonging to the top 5 that year. Coming from the coast town of Helsinki, Perhonen grew up the child of a single mother who was there every step of the way for the youngster pushing him to suceed at the sport he loved. An average sized Center, he may not use his size to dominate opponents outright but he makes up with the lack oh physicality by being one of the smartest centers in the draft defensively. His ability to find open team mates and distribute the puck is amongst the elite for this class. Perhonen is a quiet player who isn't one to normally talk and lacks a bit of the truly competitive edge which holds him back a little. Falling a bit in the greater scheme of things to the like of Green and Kennedy, Perhonen is still in the talks but needs to up his game a bit to keep pace with them and prove he is a top 5 pick once again.

[Image: E-Lindholm-3.jpg] Marley

SMJHL Draft position: 16th Overall - Militia
Projected SHL Draft Position: Late 1st Round
First Name: Elias
Last Name: Lindstrom
Position: LW
Jersey Number: 83
Height (ft.): 6'2"
Weight (lbs.): 200
Birthplace: Stockholm, Sweden
Player Type: Offensive Forward
GP: 25 | G: 9 | A: 6 | PTS: 15

- This Swedish Wunderkid was another late addition to the SMJHL but his impact was felt almost immediately. Not letting the shortened season, or language barrier stand in the way of this Stockholm native, Lindholm wasted no time at all making himself stand out. Finishing 15th in his class above 7 other players with full season under their belts is something to notice. This scoring winger vaulted up many scouts charts faster than expected with noticeble growth in his game coming during his short time on north american ice. Coming from a large family who primarily has been farmers for the past generations the idea of 'hard word' comes easily to Lindholm as his father was always one to never let him skip out on the daily chores as well as working to improve his game full time as well. Boasting some of the more impressive scores at the recent combine, it's evident this over night sensation may turn a few more heads as we head into next season and be worth more than what many teams may value him at.

SMJHL Draft position: Free Agent - Undrafted
Projected SHL Draft Position: 3rd Rounder
First Name: Riley
Last Name: Jako
Position: RW
Jersey Number: 11
Height (ft.): 6'1
Weight (lbs.): 215
Birthplace: Red Bank, NJ
Player Type: Two-Way Forward
GP: 20 | G: 2 | A: 4 | PTS: 6

- Sneaking into the league late due to a late birthday, Riley Jako had a short showing for the upcoming SHL draft. Coming from the almost coast of New Jersey, Jako spent most of his career leading up to juniors playing in New York state to try and drive up the competition he was able to compete against. The oldest of 3 brothers (who are also trying to make the big leagues) Jako has started to pave the way for what hopes to be a hockey family. Maybe not particularly wowing in any real statisical category, like most draft picks there is promise with this youngster, it's just a matter of how much drive he has to the success of his career he can generate.

Position: C
Jersey Number: 69
Height (ft.): 6'5"
Weight (lbs.): 250 lbs
Birthplace: Switzerland
Player Type: Sniper
GP: 38 | G: 7 | A: 5 | PTS: 12

- PICK NUMBER 69 IT WILL BE HALARIOUS. Here we appear to have the 'upside down' Demigorgan equivilent to an Austin Matthews, but lets spice it up anyways? Coming from the Hockey mecha that is Switzerland, Matthew Auston has been a pretty servicable player so far. Putting up alright points but nothing to really sway the scouts attention. Being absolutely broke doesn't help his case as the SHL bank has him pulling moths out of his pockets right now. Will he stay commited? Can we expect some more sponsors and media outlets to toss him some additional coin? That's entirely up to Auston's. He like many other late joiners can still make a name and career for themselves, he just needs to push himself to make a name for himself, and be a player GM's want to take a chance on.

Height (ft.): 6'4"
Weight (lbs.): 210 lbs
Birthplace: Sydney, Australia
Player Type: Offensive Defenseman
GP: 38 | G: 3 | A: 9 | PTS: 12

- Coming from the land down undah, we have Cameron Dubois who has a pretty french name coming from the land of "Where every animal, rock and sea creature can and will kill you, plus we have drop bears" (seriously you ever heard to koala's fight it's terrifying). With that all aside though...This defender was yet ANOTHER (like holy late joins batman) late additon to the league and draft list, but played closer to a full year for his squad. Dubois looks to be a bit of a project for prospectives GM's when looking at him, but he has seen some growth in his game this year. Whether or not he will be able to commit at the levels needed has yet to be seen. He will be a good pick to help stock the cuboards for those that can be patient for sure. A puck moving D man, he isn't one to intiate the physical side of the game but could eventually be a solid option on a teams 2nd PP pairing.

Height (ft.): 6'0
Weight (lbs.): 201
Birthplace: North Carolina, USA
Player Type: Sniper
GP: 44 | G: 4 | A: 3 | PTS: 7

- A very RAW player for any prospective GM's. The pure definition currently of 'Project'. Todd is a shoot first Center, a bit of a difference from most available this year, unfortunately his lack of player growth has really hurt his stock so far. Being a rare bird of hockey talent to come out of North Carolina, he has a bit of a rare air about him to potentially be one of a kind, but currently, the chance for teams to even draft him is becoming somewhat suspect. He may be passed over at this rate unless he steps up his dedication to the game.

SMJHL Draft position: 26th Overall - Scarecrows STL
Projected SHL Draft Position: 2nd Rounder
First Name: Stefan

Height (ft.): 5' 11"
Weight (lbs.): 193
Birthplace: Germany
Player Type: Two-Way Forward
GP: 50 | G: 6 | A: 6 | PTS: 12

- Coming from the glorious nation of Germany and born in the city of *GENERAL AREA OF GERMANY* Stefan Digrio brings a little something different to this draft class. Growing up playing in the big city of Berlin, Digrio comes from a nuclear family who mid way thru his life moved to Canada to attempt to give their son a greater opportunity to play against more advanced competition to match his skill set. Digrio is also defined by most scouts as your prototypical 2 way forward focusing on all aspects of the game. A pass first, back check every shift and not afraid to get in front of shots type player Digrio has the opportunity to be a great fill in for a teams shut down line, and at worst case could fill in their bottom lines moving forward. Maybe not one to immediately jump off the page for his stat lines and SMJHL numbers, he might be a good player to let slowly build in juniors until he is ready to have a good defensive/ checking role for many teams.

Weight (lbs.): 85kg (187Lbs)
Birthplace: Riga, Latvia
Player Type: Defensive Defenseman
GP: 50 | G: 2 | A: 13 | PTS: 15

- Next we have from the smaller hockey country of Latvia is one of their best prospects to come out of the system in the past few seasons. Hermanis Villy is looking to prove that talent can truly come from his home country despite many might think. An only child to a Latvian shoe maker, Villy has always taken care in his craft (of hockey) and continues to push himself towards becoming a better player. A quiet prospect who doesn't speak out to often, due to his family's frugal ways he has a pretty penny saved up for his introduction to the big leagues and have a physical game to back it up (you always have to watch out for the quiet ones). One of the few Defensively minded D men up for grabs this year it will be interesting to see if a team notices that and makes a point to grab him up to round out their bottom pairing, or potentially top 4. A multi year project pick for sure.

SMJHL Draft position: 9th Overall - STL
Projected SHL Draft Position: Top 3
First Name: Brett
Last Name: Kennedy
Position: C
Jersey Number: 83
Height (ft.): 6'5"
Weight (lbs.): 222
Birthplace: Asheville, North Carolina
Player Type: Power Forward
GP: 50 | G: 3 | A: 6 | PTS: 9

- One of the hot spots for this years draft class apparently, North Carolina continues to attempt to churn out those elite level prospects for the SHL level. Bretty Kennedy hails from an area where the locals eat and breathe College football, so it's always a surprise to many he has chosen the path of professional Hockey. Even his father was a past star for the local college so the strong athletic bloodline runs through his family. Kennedy has said before in interviews he wants to move away from the stigma that he can't prove people wrong that the love for hockey can exist in his state. Not the most impressive stats in his first year in juniors comparatively in his respective class, but what he lacks in immediate wow factor on the page he has made up with sheer potential. With a family who has some $$ to toss around Kennedy has been receiving the top end training you'd expect from a multi year veteran at the Pro level. Add in his large and intimidating frame, with his unique and imposing skill set he becomes a very valuable prospect. A beast in the face off dot, strong like and Ox, and not afraid to play his game with a physical edge, leaves many teams looking for that shut down Center drool with anticipation. His Offensive game currently suffers a bit from this focus, but his complete skill set might just out weigh this very fact.

SMJHL Draft position: 1st Overall - Scarecrows
Projected SHL Draft Position: Late 1st Rounder
First Name: Jimmy
Last Name: Wagner
Position: G
Jersey Number: 39
Height (ft.): 76
Weight (lbs.): 225
Birthplace: Team America
Player Type: Hybrid Goalie
GP: 44 | 16-21-6 | GAA: 2.87 | SV%: .878

- AMERICA, FUCK YEAH!!! COMING SAVE THE MOTHER FUCKING DAY YEAH! This is the best way to describe the young goalie Wagner. Literally oozing red - white and blue, this top prospect from the recent WJC has a lot to say, and prove. Going 1st overall in the SMJHL draft (mostly due to the teams desperate positional needs) he had a lot of hype following him and being a very vocal player did not minch words that it was the right choice every time. Wagner comes from a family of ring announcers for major sporting events, his Grandfather during the peak of the boxing era in the 70-90's, his father now for the UFC and other major outlets. So it's no surprise Wagner is always flapping those gums letting the media and opposing teams know exactly how he feels. He was caught on record saying he was "Bar none the best prospect available and goalie in the last 5 years and every team that passes him will show how narrow sighted they truly are" I can't make this stuff up folks. The kids got swagger. The kid wants to win. Time will tell if the GM's can reel him in a bit. Wagner had a very....under whelming season, but showed there is still promise there. Playing on a weak Junior team did not help his abilities number wise, but some were just too low for many to swallow. As much smack talk as he drops his ability to save the puck MUST improve, and this goalie will be a bit of a project for most teams. It will be hard to imagine him slipping out of the 1st round this year, but his dreams to go top 5, might be a bit of a stretch.

SMJHL Draft position: Free Agent - Undrafted
Projected SHL Draft Position: Late 2nd Rounder
First Name: Landon
Last Name: Boeing
Position: G
Jersey Number: 36
Height (ft.): 6' 4"
Weight (lbs.): 190lbs
Birthplace: Portland, Maine
Player Type: Butterfly Goalie
GP: 24 | 11-9-4 | GAA: 2.82 | SV%: .880

- One of the only 3 goalies available this time around Boeing was late to the party like many of the draft picks this year. Growing up in the state of Maine this coast kid was one to benefit from the amazing college level hockey building programs offered to the youth looking to become professionals. Having opportunity to practice with the College of Maine on a regular basis helped this youngster acquire the skills he needed and get noticed enough to sign with a SMJHL team. Another quiet kid who was raised by his grand parents (parents unfortunately both passed in a drunk driving incident) he is a very kind individual making sure to always promote charity and well being to those around him. Easily some of the more impressive stats of the 3 goalies who are waiting for their names to be called, Boeing benefitted from a little more of a sheltered role than the other 2 starters but doesn't tarnish at all what he was able to accomplish. Not quite the POP or draw the other keepers have, Boeing could prove to be a serviable back-up or develop into a late round gem.

- What is in the water in the Czech Republic this year? Seriously. Someone might want to check the local supply cause they are clearly using some 'special' stuff at this point. I feel like every other player is from that region and Zbynek is no exception. A player who has had quite a bit of buzz around them and not for hockey related reasons. The only draftee coming from a same sex parent pairing, he has been the focus for that very reason. In a progressive society it seems wierd this would need to be a focal point, but Zbynek takes it in stride wearing it like a badge rather than a scar. Showing a pretty decent ability to get on the score sheet in the HOCKEY related world helps him as well. A purely offesnsive minded forward, who can generate offense both with the pass and the shot, all while blazing up the ice, he is the complete offensive package. Most player 1st years in Juniors are a bit rough, but he did hold his own. His stats say he is a pass first player, but the tools are there to bury the shoot as well when needed. Looking to be a bit of a work in progress Zbynek could still contribute in due time and we should see him go shortly after the first 14 names are called.

Position: D
Height (ft.): 6'1
Weight (lbs.): 188
Birthplace: Parts Unknown
Player Type: Enforcer
GP: 50 | G: 4 | A: 9 | PTS: 13

- The love child of Sylvestor Stalone (Literally) and a waitress at a road side bar, Rambo (and thats it) as he was named is our next prospect on the list. His mother not being able to let go the fact it was a one night thing, became a rampant Stalone fan and named her son after one of the favourite movies, and the rest truly is history. From and early age, he was left in the Jungle for extended periods of time on his own to gain the skills, endurance, and tool set to make his own luck and succeed where failure seems imminent. Playing with a truly Physical edge (and having the highest Hit Dif of his class @107+), not afraid to drop the gloves and show these Jabroni's who is the king of this jungle, Rambo is an intimidating force on the ice. He has already stated that he plans to de throne the likes of Danny "Bananas" Foster, and as he says Littleus Girlious (Bigus Manious in Winnipeg), so at this rate he might just challenge Wagner for smack talking swagger status. This will be an interesting prospect to follow to see if he can back any of these claims up as his career continues.

SMJHL Draft position: 6th Overall - Mammoths

Weight (lbs.): 195lbs
Birthplace: Stockholm, Sweden
Player Type: Playmaker

- Swedish Engineering at it's finest (Thats a thing right? Or is it German ah fack it). Larsen comes from a family of professional Triathlon competitors, who have always stressed through out his young career that physical fitness is of out most importance. This young winger, absolutely SMASHED much of the combines endurance testing, being above and beyond the others to the point the doctors were wondering if this young sweddish prince was even fully human. Larsens ability to put himself infront of the puck, and hold onto it is some of the best in his draft class. Having a very respectable 1st Junior season helps add to the flair he brings when scouts look at him, easily making him keep his title of a top 10 pick. A pass first center, he surprised many by still hitting double digits for goals, showing his game is more versatile than many would have thought at first. The only real downside so far? His ability to stay on his feet is a bit suspect as he has been the receiver of hits a bit to much so the endurance is there, but he has seemingly sacrificed a bit of core strength to do it. Time will help grow his large frame and fill out.

SMJHL Draft position: Free Agent - Undrafted
Projected SHL Draft Position: 2nd Rounder
First Name: Ellie

Height (ft.): 5'11"
Weight (lbs.): 165
Birthplace: Rochester, NY, USA
Player Type: Offensive Defenseman

- Yet ANOTHER late addition to the party, Werenski enters are probably the biggest ?? for this draft. A few steps behind those who had more growth this year sets the value back a bit, but there is still some promise in the Young D man. The Younger sibling to a famous olympic US pole vaulter, Werenski is no stranger to the professional sports scene. Much like Larsen Werenski's ability to eat up those minutes is one of his strengths which is more than just a little bit valuable for a defenseman. The young defender falls into the 'project' category, but does show promise. Maybe not as immediately flashy as some of the other options on the board, Werenski could prove a fantastic depth option for many teams.

SMJHL Draft position: Free Agent - Undrafted
Projected SHL Draft Position: Early 2nd Rounder
First Name: Robert
Last Name: Haugen
Position: LW
Jersey Number: 8
Height (ft.): 6'6"
Weight (lbs.): 220
Birthplace: Namsos, Norway
Player Type: Power Forward
GP: 50 | G: 4 | A:15 | PTS: 19

- This seems to be the year of Europeans does it not? Another smaller hockey country brings a prospect to the table as Norways, Robert Haugen hits the next spot light. Haugen's uncle Lars Haugen is a star from the other North American league GoMHL having just retired after playing the Majority of his career for the Ontario Owls. Haugen has the hockey blood within him and the Norwegian gods seems to smile down on this Power forward gifting him the body of a giant. Standing at a whopping 6'6" Haugen is an intimidating presence on the ice at all times. You best keep your head up while on the ice cause Haugen uses that size very well, and very often. The 2nd Highest Hit Dif (+74), and the ability to still get the puck to those who can score has his skill set look very deadly overall. Strength like and OX and the endurance to back it up, this youngster doesn't like to get hit, likes to hit, almost never seems to break a sweat, the exact thing any team wants to compliment their scoring forwards. Haugen does struggle a bit to put up those offensive numbers (namely goals) but thats not his role. He's there to create space for the skill, while he does the dirty work and takes out the trash. Unfortunately Brad Marchand doesn't play in the SHL, cause I'd tell Haugen it was garbage day.

SMJHL Draft position: 8th overall - Knights
Projected SHL Draft Position: Top 5
First Name: Eddie
Last Name: Andrezjeck
Position: D
Jersey Number: 22
Height (ft.): 6' 3"
Weight (lbs.): 195
Birthplace: USA
Player Type: Offensive Defenseman
GP: 50 | G: 6| A: 22 | PTS: 28

- Maybe one of the bigger steals in the recent SMJHL draft key board punch....I mean Adrezjeck had a great first showing in juniors this season. Leading all the draft class in Assists (22), Top 3 for +/- (+12) and 2nd most PP goals (4) has him looking to challenge as the 1st D man off the board. Born in the heart of the USA in the small town of *GENERAL USA COUNTRY AREA* Andrezjeck is the son of a professional Blacksmith who is the top client for many large scale Medieval films and Renaissance fairs alike, it only makes sense that young Eddie has such skilled hands. Dangerous both with the pass and the shot, all while having some the most beautiful strides you've seen out of a mobile/ offensive D man, it makes sense why teams scouts have been a buzz about this young D man. One of the more dedicated prospects this year has many teams with their eyes on Andrezjeck looking to add some great depth to their prospect pools and hoping he can make the jump to the professional level sooner than later.

SMJHL Draft position: 15th Overall - Knights
Projected SHL Draft Position: 3rd Rounder
First Name: Janis
Last Name: Døro
Position: Center
Jersey Number: 14
Height (ft.): 6'1''
Weight (lbs.): 200
Birthplace: Latvia
Player Type: Playmaker
GP: 50 | G: 9 | A:10 | PTS: 19

- The 'lesser' hockey IIHF teams must be half mast by now with these prospects by how many are from the smaller countries. We have another Latvian Lion here with Janis Doro. The son of a professional Hot air balloon operator, he has always been one to try and rise about the competiton. But lately as far as this years class goes he has begin to stumble a bit. Having a fairly productive season the sky seemed the limit for Doros, but he has since recently started to really fall behind the growth of many of the other prospects and has been plummeting down a lot of the scouts charts. With many of the late league additons nipping at his heels, Doros must focus back on his game to win GM's over. A pass first Center with some great puck handling abilities and the ability to move the puck up the ice quick both with his pass, or skating, he could be a good 3rd line option for some teams some day.

SMJHL Draft position: Free Agent - Undrafted
Projected SHL Draft Position: Late 2nd Rounder
First Name: Declan
Last Name: Reilly
Position: D
Jersey Number: 23
Height (ft.): 6'2
Weight (lbs.): 200
Birthplace: Ireland
Player Type: Defensive Defenseman
GP: 50 | G: 1 | A:14 | PTS: 15

- Signed shortly after the draft as a transfer from the United Kingdom professional league, Declan Reilly is one of the few rare additions from the british isles. Raised by a family who collects wool and sheers sheep for a living it would only make sense that this youngster would be used to having to be involved in rough and forceful stuff. Having to wrangle those sheep daily and keep up his other hobby (Competitve sheep sheering) is hard work indeed. Leaving behind a potential illustrious career of professional sheering was hard for Reilly (He was #2 in the country pushing for the 1st overall spot), but he and his family felt it was the right choice. Having a fairly decent frame as a defensive defense allows Reilly from playing his role well as a Defensive Defenseman. Not one to maybe pot the puck to many times from his shot, Reilly moves the puck well with quick and accurate passing, all while being able to rely on his strong skating and positional play. Not the most physical of D men, that side could maybe be grown slowly to compliment the rest of his skill set as time moves forward.

SMJHL Draft position: 21st Overall - Firebirds
Projected SHL Draft Position: Late 2nd Rounder
First Name: Nick
Last Name: Dupuis
Position: Defensemen
Jersey Number: 5
Height (ft.): 6"2
Weight (lbs.): 200
Birthplace: Minnesota, USA
Player Type: Defensive Defenseman
GP: 50 | G: 8 | A: 10 | PTS: 18

- The most canadian, non canadian. That's the title you can pretty much award anyone from the state of Minnesota, and heck the canucks (canadians) won't even complain. The Minnesota goodbye is about as much proof you need that they could literally join the Red and white, and no one would bat an eye. That aside, we have Mr. Dupuis next up. Primarily a Lumberjack and Maple Syrup farmer by trade, Dupuis could not deny his talent for the game. His father and mother who beleive nothing in life is gifted without hard work, refused to allow him to abandon his every day duties to just play hockey. You would think that would wear on a youngster but Dupuis has always taken it in stride. Balancing both worlds until recently Dupuis finally made the jump to Junior and has hardly looked back. Maybe not the marque name for D men on the board this year, his offensive skill set offers something every team is looking for, and might just be a great pick up if teams can be patient and allow this player to grow. Dupuis MUST focus on the game more though as his growth in his first year was alright, but ultimately under whelming so far.

SMJHL Draft position: 10th Overall - Firebirds
Projected SHL Draft Position: Top 5
First Name: Dani
Last Name: Forsberg
Position: LW
Jersey Number: 9
Height (ft.): 6'2
Weight (lbs.): 207
Birthplace: Sweden
Player Type: Sniper
GP: 50 | G: 11 | A: 10 | PTS: 21

- Sweden is tapping into the Czech stuff now, I swear. Like do any Canadians exist in the the Juniors anymore? That aside, say Hello to Dani Frosberg. The Prospect who has clawed his way slowly but surely up the charts as we approach the draft. Forsberg coming from a military family knows a thing or two about the idea of 'defense'. A winger who by most expectations and standards is expected to score (oh hey he does that too!!Wink he has a surprisingly well rounded defensive side to his game as well. Not your most physical player overall, but smart when he does decide to play the body he was one of the few players to post a positive Hit Dif (+17) which helps to show his timing for take aways. Teams are always having to keep their heads on a swivel because you never know when he will stick lift you and be gone the other way. His slick skating, paired with great shot, mixed with his defensive abilities is a package many teams would love to have. He may have just squeezed into the top 10 for his Junior draft, but look for him to not leave the Top 5 this time around.

[Image: cut.jpg] Green

SMJHL Draft position: 3rd Overall - Firebirds
Projected SHL Draft Position: Top 3
First Name: Xander
Last Name: Green
Position: Center
Jersey Number: 77
Height (ft.): 6'0
Weight (lbs.): 185
Birthplace: Exeter, United Kingdom
Player Type: Playmaker
GP: 50 | G: 9 | A: 11 | PTS: 20

- Even with the recent presser by Green stating and warning teams of his potential intentions, it can't subtract from this prospects value. EASILY a lock as top 3 talent available for the upcoming draft, Green is slated to be a premier talent currently. Another player from the British Isles, Green brings to the table a player at the top of the available centers on the board with a great skill set. The son of a professional dart player, Green has learned through his father the need for precision and patience, and that is more than evident in his game as a pass first player. Being able to thread the needle like a professional seamstress he continue to impress finding holes to feed the puck through many wouldn't even consider and option. The ability to distribute the puck to his wingers, speed that makes him hard to catch when he gets full stride, mixed with his great puck control makes him a hard opponent to contain. Looking like a player who could potentially be a 1st line center with enough time and growth, Green will be the one to pave his own path, and determine exactly how high he can go as the seasons pass.

SMJHL Draft position: 11th Overall - Whalers

Projected SHL Draft Position: Top 10
First Name: Emiya
Last Name: Shirou
Position: LW
Jersey Number: 72
Height (ft.): 5 ft 5 in
Weight (lbs.): 131
Birthplace: United Kingdom
Player Type: Two-Way Forward
GP: 50 | G: 14 | A: 20 | PTS: 34

- I called the prospects from the UK rare, then BAM! Here we have yet another prospect from there. Goes to show how much I know right? Here we have one of the few bright spots for the Whalers this year with Emiya Shirou. Leading all rookies in goals (14) and Points (34) he looks to be a real primier talent. The adopted son of a Japanese Doctor, Emiya was born and raised in the UK and taught a strong sense of drive. With traces of his fathers teachings, he has developed a very strong defensive side to his game, and coupled with his ability to pass the puck has him being on the score sheet often for his ability to dish out the helpers for his line mates. He has a knack for scoring as well both on (and off *wiggles eye brows*) the ice when every the opportunity presents itself. One of the few prospects already tied down at such a young age helps to ground him in the now and focus on his game incredibly, showing he's not just an overnight sensation.

SMJHL Draft position: 2nd Overall - Whalers
Projected SHL Draft Position: Late 1st Rounder
First Name: Bartholomew
Last Name: Čechové
Position: G
Jersey Number: 39
Height (ft.): 6'1''
Weight (lbs.): 166
Birthplace: Pardubice, Czech Repblic
Player Type: Hybrid Goalie
GP: 46 | 12-29-4 | GAA: 2.97 | SV%: .894

- Last but certainly not least, is the #2 man for the SMJHL draft, but #1 guy in the city of Vancouver. Taken to fill a massive hole in the franchises depth charts for a few seasons, Cechove has been a fairly steady figure for the Whalers. Born to a small family whose parents are both members of the local Lego distribution center, Cechove you can say has a knack for 'blocking' things, and only seemed natural to follow the path of a goalie. Maybe having some of the least 'attractive' numbers on the page for wins compared to loses out of the goalie prospects, he makes up with it, but blowing the competition out of the water with his save % (.894). This shows that the talent is there, regardless of what team he has in front of him. There is a large upside to his game, showing he can still make something out of nothing. Head to head with Wagner for a choice in future goal tending for any team.
