How does your player feel about the trip? Is it pointless travel to play in front of neutral crowd and missing on actual home opener? Or are they just exited to see the world and thrilled about the opportunity to win over the local fans? Does all this make the game feel more like showmatch than actual regular season game? I would love to go to Japan and play some games there, while I already have been in the country it sure is a beautiful one and an all expenses paid trip would sure make for some nice sightseeing and food eating that I could not get in the last time I was there. Plus it is really nice to bring the message and the fun that is SHL hockey to other countries and make sure we grow our fanbases for the sport there. While of course it is always best to play in front of a hometown crowd I think the upsides of getting more fans and bringing people into the cause of our game in different places outweighs the neutral grounds of the match being played there. Plus if the global series' of other leagues has taught me anything it is that fans in those places can be amazing and cheer their heart out even if it is not "their" team directly. 164 words ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
