I suppose, but you run the risk of losing important town roles like doctor and lookout.

You're correct. Also, If we go accusing each other early we may force an important person to reveal their role which would give the wolves an easy target. We have just as much chance at killing the seer/escort as we do killing a werewolf if we lynch night 1. I don't think it's worth taking that risk.

Just depends on the GM. Sometimes if roles on deaths are revealed then the roles in game will not be known, so yes a Seer may have died, but there could be another seer. It's all about trying to get a good balance so Villagers and werewolves are on a level playing field. I find it difficult to get that balance on forum games, wolves need to be very smart about their moves while the villagers just have to not be stupid
