8/10 - Really funny and heartwarming film as the family turns it around. All of the actors did well, the script was really well done and the directors did an awesome job. Deserves the accolades and acclaim its received.

5/10 - I like the Coen Brothers as directors and they do a good job here as well, as do the actors, but the movie was honestly boring. I have no issue with slow movies, but the first hour plus was extremely boring. However, a particular scene (don't want to say, not really a spoiler, but just want to be safe), the film certainly picked up big time. If the whole film was the second half, it would've been more of a 7, but with the beginning being about a 3, it's hard to give it any higher of a rating than I have.

9/10 - Awesome film. As per usual, both Wahlberg and Bale do an outstanding job of acting, as does Amy Adams as Micky's girlfriend. At the end of the day, it's a sports movie, but it's an extremely good one that has characteristics most typical sports movies do not have. It draws you in with the in-depth and at times depressing story of Micky Ward's life and then his turn around into a champion.

8/10 - This is just...what. Talk about a crazy movie that really, truly makes you think. Michael Douglas was awesome in the lead role and Fincher dominated as director. The ending was a little strange and felt unfitting for the rest of the movie, but all in all, a very good film that really has you on the edge of your seat.

7/10 - This comedy succeeds where most comedies fail; it has a plot while also providing laughs. Its sole purpose was to not just provide cheap laughs, but to also tell a story. Murphy and Aykroyd were both good in their roles and overall, I enjoyed this movie a lot.

8/10 - The Coen Brothers elegantly and masterfully direct this film and this is a perfect example of why they are great directors. The film is slow at times and slightly confusing, but really comes together at the end. The actors were all phenomenal, only knock is again, the plot seemed random at times, though as I said, it comes together.

Monsters University

9/10

Great movie, I liked the first one better, but it did better than most sequels. Some parts had me just cracking up.

The Avengers

9.5/10

Oh this was just nasty. Loved every freakin second of it. Especially when I yelled HULK SMASH and two seconds later the Hulk yelled it too.. *note this was in my house and not in the theater, that would've been weird*

10/10 - Just absolutely masterful. The acting, once again, is superb and Coppola is fantastic as the director. There isn't much to say beyond the fact that this film is one of the best ever.

7/10 - The Machinist is most certainly one of the weirder movies I have seen. Christian Bale is great as usual and the surprise twist will really screw with your head. Good film, certainly keeps you interested.

4/10 - The main downfall of the movie is that it's just not funny at all. There were certainly some funny scenes, but certainly not enough for a comedy. The plot was interesting and the acting was good, which saved it from being a total trainwreck.

9/10 - Awesome film. Ben Affleck did great as director and then Casey Affleck kicked ass and took names in the lead role. Not much to criticize here. Overall, a thought provoking film that certainly leaves you wanting more.

6/10 - The acting is good the directing is good, the film is certainly funny, and the plot is engaging enough to keep up your interest, but it just feels as though there is something missing from this one.

7/10 - Good stuff here. There's no real complaints, but I would say that, for me, it's not worthy of a higher rating than a 7. I liked it though, good entertainment,

8/10 - Dayum. Brilliantly acted, though the first 30 minutes are slow, but as you get into the film, you see why they were necessary. Not entirely what I expected, but all the same, great entertainment.

Geez Spangs, low ratings for Lebowski, and O Brother Where Art Thou.

You break my heart. I'm guessing you're not a huuuge Coen Bros. fan.

I like Fargo and Miller's Crossing, but I guess you could say that. They're really good directors, don't get me wrong, but something's missing for me in their movies.

I'd give it a 9 or 9.5 but I agree with just about everything you said.

O Brother Where Art Thou is based on the Odyssey... As someone who has read it, the movie is brilliantly written and directed
