heard about the FHM and what happened in the past league. really cool sim engine that i think would be beneficial to us and to the developers of the software aswell.

im liking the progress that you guys are having with the shl and this little bump in the road.

why? like honestly who would even change teams specifically because we are using FHM instead of STHS and if people do want to leave there team then they can just request a trade.

That said I think fantasy itself would be much easier to do with this since the output starts out as a spreadsheet

Fantasy input from the index is actually already automated- an old excel function lets you select tables from the player stats by team page and download/update them with a single click. Aside from repicking the table list from the new index each season, and making sure each team has the correct goalie stats merged underneath their banner (in case of trades or new backups, etc), it's a single copy/paste operation.

We actually have had more than 2 people doing things in HO lately, it’s quite nice. And it really isn’t the workload that would be the burden. It’s the mental and emotional burden that would come with the sheer amount of blowback the HO would receive for going through with breaking contracts on a whim.

I don't know if FHM would be the answer to our problems right now, I haven't played that since the first alpha/beta version were out. But this sort of constructive thinking is what's needed to keep our league alive.

While I like the idea, I doubt the plea itself will make a huge difference. OOTP main product is baseball sim (which is years ahead of any other sports management engine/game, also their main source of income, especially with Perfect Team mode) and it's not that small of a company with a product that 100 people buying it is a big number. Still worth the try, since at least baseball sim devs are known from communicating on the forums and listening to people feedback.
Also while obviously not everyone will be watching streams, it's yet another source of possible league revenue & finally a solution to replace PBPs with something enjoyable.
If they were ever to strive to catch up OOTP Baseball functionalities i'd be yet another huge step, especially index wise, which is magnificent with possibility of having all stats in one place, and I'm not talking about current single season/single league sths setup, but whole career (yes, continuity between seasons)/individual player pages and even possibility to have SMJHL and SHL under single link/file.

If you don't want to buy it then you don't need to. I don't think anyone is or would be forcing you to do so.

And, honestly, if HO did require at least one GM from every team to own the game, I wouldn't find that even remotely unreasonable.

Or at least one management member from each team, which expands beyond just the 2 GMs
