Attend the Newfoundland Berserkers Fantasy Camp in 2021!  Berserkers Berserkers Berserkers
You don't want to miss this opportunity, it has never happened before and you can't even be sure that it'll happen again!
Mark down these dates in your calendar: February 20-21, the best time of the year to visit St. John's and experience real hockey during real winter, just the way it's supposed to be.

You and your fellow Fantasy Camp participants will arrive on Saturday morning and check into the hotel near the Mile One Centre. At 10 am you will meet up at the arena and enjoy a nice hot coffee while you will be shown around the arena by the team's staff. Afterwards it's time to watch the team practice and meet a few Newfoundland Berserkers and Lethbridge Lions alumni such as Monkey D. Luffy, (Clean) Andrei Kostitsyn and of course the famous goalie trio that nobody remembers: Patrice Nadeau, Harry Carpet and Markus Tegernako. Maybe some others will show up, too?

In the afternoon all participants will be equipped with hockey gear and their own Berserkers jerseys and get to hit the ice themselves. Outdoors, however, during a snowstorm. If they survive that and still have all their toes, there will be more hot coffee and dinner at the hotel and have a chance to thaw a little in the evening.

The next day there will be more events, more chances to meet alumni (TBD) and more "surprises" too. This will be so amazing, we can’t even tell you yet what it will be.
Sign up now and book this once in a lifetime adventure for only $999! If you book today you'll even have the chance to be a guest on (Clean) Andrei's podcast.

So for this years Fantasy Camp the St. Louis scarecrows have announced that they will be offering a camp for as little as 1599 + shipping and handling. The camp will last 1 week where the kids will get to practice like a pro doing all sorts of drills and will also get to experience everything the pros do every day. Through out the week every day famous aluminis and current players will help the kids work on their skills but also talk to them and answer any questions they might have. From the S39 cup winning team the St. Louis scarecrows have brought along Dermot Lavelle, Paddy O'Sullivan and the Legend who scored the cup winning goal Logan Jensen. They have also brought back former Gms Joe Kortesi and Ryan. Current crows that will be attending the camp include young Logo and Colin Lambert. Food will be provided and a hotel is part of the cost for kids to sleep.

(This post was last modified: 12-09-2020, 01:26 AM by StadiumGambler.)

The Winnipeg Jets fantasy camp would have no shortage of legends and luminaries in attendance for a good, high-level camp for any aspiring beer leaguers.

First it would start with some power skating, with Jets legend Andrew Hawkins leading the troops and giving instructions. Then we would see a drill on defensive fundamentals, done by former Jets checking forward Nolan Snipez, focusing on ways to retain puck possession, use the pokecheck adequately, and choose between committed to a bodycheck or committed to hanging back and staying between the shooter and the goal. (With a plus/minus of -27 in Season 46, Snipez is eminently qualified for the task.)

Next up we would see a shooting drill led by Jason Visser, the first actually qualified person to be doing this stuff. Visser would teach the intricacies of the wrist shot for about half an hour before being cut off by some pompous jerk running the camp for no reason. Then camp attendees wouldbe treated to a open buffet of sandwiches, soup, and pastries provided by the lowest quality branch of Tim Hortons in the province of Manitoba. Any complainers over the buffet's quality will have hounds released on them, which doubles as bonus dryland training.

Finally, camp attendees will be put in the Airport Motor Inn six to a room, before being given bonus nosebleed tickets in the next Jets home game against the Steelhawks. Overall, a truly terrible camp experience, but real estate magnates sponsoring this make out like bandits, which is what really matters.

Because I don't remember all of the Platoon history (sorry). I am going to do one for the Edmonton Blizzard. Being such a historic franchise, they are going to have many famous alums who will be attending their Fantasy Camp. You can learn to play defense with Former Captain Jackson Rogers-Tanaka (Also a Hall of Famer). Learn about some of their early cups with player turned front office man, Kyle Keenan (Hall of Fame Class of S27). There will be a special goalie camp with one of the best goalies ever Jakub Aittokallio (Hall of Fame class S32) who was a part of the great S28 run and the many playoff teams that the Blizzard had in the S20's. They also would bring on the original Theo Kane who was a part of the league for a very long time and spent a long with the Blizzard that definitely help set up his Hall of Fame career. Besides bringing in some of their greats they would also look to bring in some of their modern day players from their current roster including, FR- Finn Rhys as well as Karlstraße Scholz who will be working with JRT with the defenseman, They will also bring in some of the current forwards as surprise guests and speakers to teach about what it is like to be a current SHL player

The Seattle Argonauts inaugural fantasy camp experience is one for the ages. Not only are current players like Nolan McMahon, Abel Skinner, and Knute Knurtsson participating, but some impressive alumni from Seattle’s past as an SHL team have also committed. While the Tampa Bay Barracuda are the actual successor to the Seattle Riot, many of the alums from the Riot era have a stronger tie to the town than the new team in Florida. Franchise hall of famer Jed Lloren, franchise scoring leader Riley Raycroft, and all-time blueline legend Mikko Koskinen have committed, as well as the MVP of the S18 Challenge Cup Championship team, Chris McZehrl.

It’s rare for current pros to participate in fantasy camps, but in McMahon and Knurtsson’s cases, they have one foot in the grave already, so it’s not that far a stretch. Several of the young guns (Fred Wanesly specifically) wanted the chance to pound some old rich guys into the boards and skate circles around them, but the coaching staff forbade it. The active players will only practice with the fantasy campers, but won’t take part in the game itself. All participants have food and lodging included in the camp cost at local partner hotels/restaurants, and get authentic game gear from Reebok. They also will receive tickets to a Seattle Argonauts home game versus the Los Angeles Panthers in one of the premium suites, sponsored by Microsoft. Afterwards, the participants will also get a meet and greet with team coaches, management, and several players, including Bo Kane, Thor Odinsson, and Kriss Darzins.

Unfortunately, even begging and pleading from team ownership couldn’t get captain Cassius Darrow to sign off on participating in the weekend. Sorry, boys, Darrow doesn’t do this shit.

The Stampede Fantasy Camp would be really interesting, since most of their best and most famous players retired recently. Players like Walker and Metzler could still kick ass in the league today if they wanted to so its really interesting. Luckily they both signed up to be involved in the camp. Even Eduard Selich is there, probably just to hang out with Alex Selich tho. Steve Harrington will be your guide to the team during your stay because he usually spends more time fucking around than actually practicing. One of the major parts of the camp is trying out for the team. If you play better than Roach you might actually get his spot! So we are very excited to see how things turn out. We could potentially have a new team member. If you suck though you will still get to have a good time and take home the whole redbubble suite of Stampede themed products! Including the new prototype Stampede thong! Great value for any young Stampede fans.

The Chicago Syndicate Fantasy Camp experience will be an experience like none other. For the price of 5,961 dollars pre-tax, you will be invited to Chicago for one entire week where you will get
- hotel and meals paid for, obviously
- a tour of the city (including that bean made by that one artist who is apparently very uptight about his special fancy black paint).
- mandatory participation in some League of Legends thing, regardless of whether you know how to play
- a goodie bag containing some very special team memorabilia (most people will get a puck and an autographed jersey but a few lucky fans will also get a Ford Taurus)
- a hockey game against some active members of the team (whichever ones happen to be in town) - the professional hockey players will be drinking a lot of alcohol to even things out a little
- a karaoke session with those same members of the team later that night, but you're only allowed to sing songs that mention Chicago
- a game of fetch with Gunnar Söderberg's dog, Maxim
