The Maine Timber are coming into this season with an extremely talented class of Season 60 Rookies. In this write up we are going to take a closer look at what these rookies have done through the first 9 games of the season. We will also be taking some time to talk about the impact they have had on the Timber organization. To start us off let us take a look at the Season 60 2nd Overall pick, Duncan The Walrus. Duncan The Walrus is a massive 6'9" 300lbs Right Defenseman that is looking to do impressive things this season for Maine. Through 9 games this season Duncan The Walrus has managed to rack up 4 points. The points can be broken down into 2 Goals and 2 Assists. This puts Duncan on pace for a 30 point season as a very defensive minded player. He has also managed to put up 14 hits and 7 blocked shots. This means that Duncan can also cross over 100 hits on the season. Although he has shown some promise on the offensive side of the puck, I am sure Maine is looking for him to begin to improve upon his -2 +/-.All and all, the Timbers have got to be very excited about the performance of the 2nd overall pick.

With the 13th overall pick in the Season 60 Draft the Timbers select J.J. James Jamerson Angler. Angle has been a force to be reckoned with this season. Not only does he lead the Timbers in goals, with 4 on the season, he is also their leader in the points department! Angler is putting together a Rookie of the Year caliber performance that is a huge reason for the early success of the timbers this season. The Timbers have managed to put together 19 goals on the season and 6 of them have come from their star rookie duo Duncan The Walrus and J.J. James Jamerson Angler. This kind of production has really helped while the Timbers are waiting for players like Dogwood Maple and Miguel Hefeweizen to begin finding the back of the net again (1 goal combined). Some other notable rookie starts for the Timbers comes from Rene Pu. Rene Pu came to the timbers as an Undrafted Free Agent and is showing the whole league that they made a mistake in not taking him in the Season 60 draft. In 6 games Rene Pu has managed to put 2 assists and become a crucial part of the Timber Offense! Another notable performer so far this season is from the other young Right Defenseman Philip Demitra, while he is struggling too find the same level of performance other rookies have found on the team, he is still showing the potential that Maine saw in him when they drafted him. Overall, the Timbers have one of the top Season 60 classes in the league. Look for this class to not only outshine rookies on other teams but, also to help lead the Timbers to a very successful showing this season. Following a rough season last year, I am sure that not only the organization but, also the fans are hoping this class of Season 60 rookies can keep delivering for the Maine Timber!
