The FHM Lineal Championship series returns, from now on a seasonal basis! S66 ended with the Atlanta Inferno taking home the Lineal and Challenge Cup, the two having remained unified since S55.

Atlanta managed to start and end the regular season as Lineal title holders, becoming just the second team do so, after the S58 Hamilton Steelhawks. The Inferno were unable to make it to the end of the playoffs, however, as the Manhattan Rage took the belt off of them. The Rage won the title the most times overall in S67, amassing 7 wins over the full season. The Inferno did take home longest title reign at 30 days, however, it was the Toronto North Stars who took home the honors for longest defense streak, at 10 games. The title swapped owners 39 times this season, one more than the previous season. Three teams failed to acquire the belt this season: Buffalo, Tampa Bay, and Minnesota. Hamilton and Los Angeles just barely managed to keep their streak of having won the belt at least once every season, with each team taking the title exactly once each. In the end, it was the Seattle Argonauts who took home the unified Lineal and Challenge Cup championship! A vast improvement over where they were just a handful of seasons ago, when they won the Lineal title for the first time in S61. Congrats to the Argonauts!

Was happy to see someone else originally had the same idea! I threw a wrench into your original plan by including playoff results, but it ended up converging to the same result (eventually). Thanks for the inspiration!
