S73 PT#5: I'm Gonna Win The Cupyright

Luca would be devastated if he was traded to a new team. The first overall pick in the S69 draft when interviewing with Minnesota, told the managers he wants to be apart of the change to bring the team back to the top. The Monarchs have been bottom feeders for quite some time and being apart of the core group that gets to see some success is a true dream of Luca. If it came down to it, and the trade was inevitable, Luca would gracefully accept the reality and welcome the idea of a new team. The change in systems might be overwhelming at first, but Luca is confident in his ability to fit into any and all situations he might be thrown into. Though, he might not be so much of a defensive, 200ft player, Luca loves the laying hits and creating chances. If the new teams needs that physical play style that creates offensive opportunities, Luca is the guy to do it.

If shnopple got traded to a new team he would take a little to adjust since he would be a little sad having to leave his former team with all of his friends. Since he is a team player, he will do his best to fit in and make everyone happy while still being himself. He will participate in all sorts of activities and try to build bonds with his new teammates as soon as he can to build as much synergy as quickly as he possibly can to fit in the best he can. Learning the new team will be the most important part for shnopple with how he likes to play and still be himself and have all sorts of fun. Once he starts playing games with his new team he will quickly learn to adjust to a new set of players and skills so he can continue to be the best teammate he possible can be.

Written task Option 2: If Mats Marner got traded to a new team, he would need to make a series of adjustments to fit into the new team's system and culture. First Marner would start by studying the new team's playing style, tactics, and strategies. This includes understanding the offensive and defensive systems, special teams (power play and penalty kill), and any other unique aspects of the team's gameplay. Next Marener would have meetings with the coaching staff, including the head coach and assistant coaches, to discuss their role and expectations within the team's system. This is an opportunity to clarify any questions and get a clear understanding of his responsibilities. Then Marner would get to know his new teammates as building strong relationships with teammates is essential. This includes not only understanding their playing styles but also forming personal connections. Team chemistry and trust are vital for success in hockey.

Not many players like being traded but ultimately, Elena is a team player and would try to do the best out of an originally bad situation. It happened to her in the SMJHL where the Citadelles needed to move pieces for a rebuild and they approached her about a trade. She was relunctant at first but told her general manager if there was a good deal in place, she would accept it without a fuss. In the end, she was traded to Saint Louis. She went there with a positive attitude and things clicked between her and her new teammates and she had arguably the best season of her junior career and helped the Scarecrows win the cup. Elena is there to win and if it means changing her way of playing and approaching the game, she'll have no problem doing it. If such a thing happened during her time in the SHL, she would see things the same way and adapt to her new team.

FINALLY! @Ace has made the right call and rid the team of Rashford.  Once a promising young player, the seasoned veteran can barely tie his own skates let alone lead the team to another championship.  For Mikko, there is relief.  He can now simply ride off into the sunset never to be seen again.  Oh, wait, he was traded, guess he's gotta at least give his new team a season of his efforts.  He'll spend most of his time like he does now, away from the rink and enjoying the disc golf course.  Thats probably one of the main reasons why the GM moved him anyway, if Mikko was a more dedicated player, he simply wouldn't have got to this point in his career where his abilities had so sharply declined from his peak.  Maybe it will be a good learning experience for the Finnish player to be in a new environment

Option 1 - ORDER IN THE COURT! ORDER IN THE COURT!

micool is suing LITERAL CHILDREN for the use of the phrase "I'm gonna win the cup." Below are the numerous legal issues present in this statement and his pursuit of legal action against our SEVEN YEAR OLD CAPTAIN.

Issue #1 - Bro it's a child - do you hate children or something? micool is out here literally trying to steal candy (read: a common phrase and the words coming out of a child's mouth who does not have a strong vocabulary to begin with) from a baby (anyone under the age of 21, which this CHILD is VERY under). Imagine hating children so much that you sue them. Incredible.

Issue #2 - A False claim in of itself. Micool stated "I'm gonna win the cup." However, this statement is misleading, as he could not be talking about the SHL Cup, as the Atlanta Inferno (where his player resides and plays for) got swept in the second round. Sounds like he isn't gonna win the cup.

Quote:Written Task: If your player got traded to a new team, how would they go about adjusting and learning the new system?

Oh man. I think the most difficult part would be for Jarrow to find a place to sail his ship to his new hometown and probably the situation if it is a landlocked city. Although that didn't stop him when it came to getting it to Winnipeg Lake even though it cost him a lot of money to make it happen.

Beyond the off-ice issues, I think Spack would fit in anywhere as long as it isn't a super strict team where they don't allow long hair or some other crazy rule. Even then, Jarrow isn't the type to 'rock the boat' so it would just be the matter of getting to find chemistry with his new linemates and learning the new systems.

The last thing Jarrow wants to do is leave Winnipeg so hopefully that doesn't happen but you can't stop life from happening and accepting new challenges can be a good thing. But so can staying. :D

Option 2 -

If my player got traded to a new team, and boy that doesn’t seem out of the question with all the player movement coming out of Toronto these days, he would probably ignore what the coaches say about systems and playing the right way and just go with his gut. Ace Lightnings instincts are what got him into the league to begin with and they are going to carry him through another 30 seasons or whatever. When he passes to nobody in the neutral zone and the puck gets turned over and the other team goes down and scores, that’s on the other guy, not Ace. Just going with the flow.

But in all seriousness, my player is a student of the game so he would easily be able to pick up the structure and play it to its greatest potential because he’s a winner baby and nobody can change greatness.

Prompt 1

Julian's good friend and legal advisor Saul Shadyman has advised him and the kids on this non-issue.

While we have established that micool has a relevant claim on the phrase "I'm going to win the cup" in an SHL context, we are going to contest his claim of our kid breaking it on multiple points which will make it crystal clear that the kid's acrions constitute as fair use.

Firstly, the use of the sentence "I'm going to win the cup" by the kid has no commercial nature, and our organisation is a non-profit, with an educational goal.

Secondly, given that the sentence as used by micool is only known to refer to "the cup" in an SHL (including its junior and international extensions) related manner. Our kid transformed it, adding a new layer, to include our tournament.

Furthermore, since the quote was given in an interview on an important event, it has significant news value. Fair use should be permitted under the Freemdom of Press Act.

And finally, there was no harm done to the brand or value lost for micool. Au contraire, by significanly expanding the base of people who now know the trademarked sentence, our kid has increased the value of the brand and trademark.

Considering the above, we are confident the judge will dismiss the case. And, given that this was a clear case of fair use, we are strongly considering filing a malicious prosecution claim against micool.
