Roberto Martucci
@Otrebor13

Drafted in S4, taken 10th OA to the Hamilton Steelhawks. Martucci was the first players of Otrebor.
S4 was his rookie season like most players in the SHL.1 season in the SMJHL, the rest in the SHL. recording 9 goals, 8 assists for 17 points, Roberto had a decent start to his career. Then S5 was the same, slight improvements. 8 goals, 14 assists for 22 points.
S6 was his first big season. With a bump in ice time, going from 167/17 minutes a night to 20, Roberto put up a career high of 22 goals, 21 assists for 43 points. He also started to show more to his game, getting 100 hits for the first time. His 43 points was good for t-24th best in the league.

S7 was his first time getting nominated for an award. Going from 60 games played in S6 back down to 50 in S7. He repeated his same performance and was even better. With 18 goals, 26 assists for 44 points, and 95 hits. Good for 12th in the league in points. He got a Jeff Dar nom for best two-way forwards, recognizing his two way acumen.

S8 was his first amazing season for Martucci. 25 goals, 32 assists for 57 points. Martucci got a Ron Mexico Nomination for the first time. He was also 2nd in points only behind Charlie Chiclets. He was also tied for 2nd in goals for that season. Truly an excellent season for Martucci.
S9 was another excellent season for him. With 33 goals, 35 assists for 68 points. Martucci was 8th in the league in points, and t-3rd in goals for that season. Unfortunately that was not enough for any regular season awards. In the playoffs however getting an Anton Razov Nomination. Unfortunately we do not have playoff data at that time, so we dont know what he did to deserve it.
S10 Repeated his excellent season of S9. With 27 goals, 41 assists for 68 points, Martucci was t-9th in the league in points.  S11 showed his final season at above a PPG. With 32 goals and 32 assists for 64 points, Martucci was 25th in the league in scoring. In the playoffs however, Martucci won his first and only Challenge Cup of his career. He was also nominated for the Razov Award as well.

S11 saw the end of the inflation era, so the points will return to what a normal “shl season” should be. Let it be known though that Martucci was still a dominant player at this time. S12 saw Martucci with 17 goals and 26 assists for 43 points, Martucci was back again in the top 10 in points for the season. Where he was tied-1st in points for that season.

At the end of S12, Martucci iterated that S13 was his last season of his career, retiring after that. So 16 games into the season, with Martucci only getting 2 goals and 6 assists, Martucci was traded from the struggling Hamilton Steelhawks to the Texas Renegades. The Trade saw Martucci and Daniel Carlsson head to Texas where Hamilton got a 1st and a 2nd for his troubles.
GM joecool37 said this of the trade
“Thank you to both Carlsson and Martucci for their time in Hamilton. Both spent their whole career here. Especially to Roberto Martucci who has been a franchise face since I am a part of the SHL. Tucci and me discussed a lot his situation and we both came to an agreement that it would be better for both sides (Hamilton and Tucci) to look for a trade. So Tucci gets a solid last shot to end his career with a cup.
He will be a Hall of Famer here in Hamilton and his jersey will be under the roof of the arena soon. Thx you for everything Tucci.”

Over the final 34 games with Texas saw Martucci come back to life. Scoring 16 goals 19 assists for 35 points. Making his final tally of 18 goals, 23 assists for 41 points for his final season. Good for t-14th in the league in points.

With his final season being done, Martucci ended his career with 494 GP, 209 goals, 258 assists for 467 points. Good for 5th all time points when he retired. And the 3rd player to hit 200 goals in a career. Martucci was an elite player at that time, seeing the majority of his career being one of the top players in the league. Securing a couple nominations in the process.
