Here are this season's tasks for CW. The maximum is 8 TPE. Mix and match whatever tasks you desire, but the maximum TPE to be earned from this is 8.
The deadline is SUNDAY MARCH 24TH at 11:59pm PST.
Please copy/paste the prompts (including the # of TPE) into your post; it makes it much easier to grade and track.
This PT is for SHL players and send-downs only. If your player is S76 or S77, that's not you.
One (1) affiliate claim from either PBE, WSBL, SSL, or the ISFL will be accepted for 3 TPE! *if you’re claiming this and have a different username on the affiliate's site then you need to state that in your post to get credit.*
Please feel free to PM with any questions or concerns.

2. Written, up to 4 TPE - Grab Bag: Pick up to 4 Challenge Cup related topics to write about! Each topic is worth 1 TPE. Each answer must be 50+ words.
a. During the Conference Finals Panthers had no players who had multi goal game, yet they beat the Texas in 5 games. Can New England shut down a team with such depth, how could they do it?
b. On New England side Ivan Lacksamus is back on MVP form, scoring 15 goals and 38 points in 19 games, including the 15 points scored in Conference Finals. Should Los Angeles try to find a way to stop him or hope that their stars kick in the next gear to meet the challenge head on?
c. Olof Karsikko, who has won the Razov and the Challenge Cup with both teams, while already past his peak comes into finals with higher save percentage than Grzegorz Brzeczyszczykiewicz who on the other hand has lower goal against average. Which team in your opinion has advantage on net and how much of an impact you think it will have on the series?
d. So, a pack of wolves fighting some panthers. Where the fight happens? How it goes? Which side wins? Were animals hurt while answering this prompt?
e. If it ain't broke don't fix it: Who you got? Who wins? Why?
Code:
3. Written, 3 TPE, Been there, Done that (150 words min.)
It has been 10 seasons since Panthers last won the cup and Yannick Svoboda is only player left from that team. While for the New England this is 4th finals appearance since S70 and multiple players have been there for all of them, including the two cup wins. Will that experience triumph over excitement or will it make them overconfident? Will the nerves of Panthers get better of them now when the stakes are the highest? Which team has the mental advantage over the other and how big of an impact you think it will have on the match up?
Code:
4. Written, 3 TPE, Merely a setback! (150 words min.)
For more than 5 seasons conference finals have mostly been played between Edmonton and Winnipeg in west, yet this season they were both knocked out earlier. In the east Baltimore and Hamilton challenged Philadelphia and New England but ultimately we saw the same two teams in conference finals. Was season 75 merely a setback for Edmonton and Winnipeg or is the clock also ticking for New England and Philadelphia? Which teams you expect to see making it to finals during next few seasons?
Code:
5. Written, 3 TPE, And make it double (150 words min.)
SHL HO has noticed how well received the Ultimus Bowl half time show has been and you are now tasked to create a show for both intermissions during one of Challenge Cup Finals. What kind of performance it will be and how will you ensure that ice will get resurfaced while it is going on?
Code:
6. Written, 2 TPE, Maybe next season (100 words min)
Which SHL or SMJHL team was the best team to not make the finals this season and why?
Graphics and Podcasts
Code:
7. Graphic, 3 TPE, Think you can do better?
Design a new logo for the Los Angeles Panthers or the New England Wolfpack.
Code:
8. Graphic, 3 TPE, Does someone still buy these?
Create a magazine cover that highlights either a player in the finals or a standout player from the regular season.
Code:
9. Graphic, 3 TPE, Face of the Franchise
Your player strikes a sponsorship deal with a local producer of something. Create an add showing the product with your player or their face on it.
Code:
10. Podcast, 3 or 4 TPE

Write your predictions for this year's IIHF tournament or WJC! Tell me about your team! What are your expectations for your player? What teams are you watching out for this time around? Did last season's results surprise you?
Code:
12. Written, 2 TPE, Favor for a friend (100 words min.)
If you could take one or two of your SHL/SMJHL teammates on loan for next international tournament would you go for absolute best players, look at where your international team is most struggling or just take your friends to hang with you on the locker room. Who would you pick and why?
Procrastinators
Code:
13. Written, 2 TPE - The Procrastinator Special! (100 words min.)
Looks like [TEAM] won Season 75! Who won and why? What could the other team have done differently to change the result? What was your favorite part of the series?
Code:
14. Written, 2 TPE - But I thought the season was already over (100 words min.)
Challenge Cup Finals might be over and season switch done on portal but there is still sims going on SMJHL. Write a preview (or if you are really late, a review) about this seasons Four Star Cup Finals.
Code:
15. Graphic, 3 TPE - The Procrastinator Special!
Congratulations, graphics-master procrastinator! Much like the written-word-loving procrastinator, you too have a special task! Create a post-series splash screen detailing the outcome of the series, or highlighting the player that you think should be playoff MVP. Include at least 3 stats!

Which SHL or SMJHL team was the best team to not make the finals this season and why?
The best team to not make SHL finals this season for sure was Edmonton Blizzard. It dominated the Pacific division very well. Justin Time was an excellent goalie as always, right? It won the regular season with 99 points. Very rare achievement which should have been rewarded with a place in the finals but unfortunately Los Angeles showed its resilience, toughness and mental strength in the semi-finals series. My condolences to Edmonton for that. They missed once in a lifetime opportunity. It is a shame in my opinion. All in all, in my opinion Blizzard was pretty clearly the best team to not advance finals. Their D core let them down in crucial moments unfortunately.
11. Written, 3 TPE, IIHF Analysis (150 words min.)
Write your predictions for this year's IIHF tournament or WJC! Tell me about your team! What are your expectations for your player? What teams are you watching out for this time around? Did last season's results surprise you?
Team Finland is always a medal contender. Last season we failed to win a medal when I captained the team for the third (?) time. It was a disappointment. This time we can go all the way and not lose a bronze medal matcch. There are some youths coming up and ready to take bigger role. I will continue in a mentor role as a bottom six winger and maybe PK specialist. I grind hard and try to help the team win that way. So, I would like to guarantee that we will be a better hockey team this year but in sports in general everything can happen and puck luck has a huge role too so I can not do that. I can just promise that we will give ourselves a chance to win and hockey gods will then decide afterwards if we really win or not a medal. Smith-Carpet duo gives us a chance to beat other powerhouses every year. It is up to skaters and coaches to perform well too. When it comes to other teams, I expect big powerhouses like Canada, USA and Sweden dominate the event too year after year. The hockey culture is so deep in those countries so they should contend for medals every season. Simply no excuses. Teams like Ireland, Japan and UK should not celebrate at all in the international stage.

ISFL Affiliate for 3 TPE
6. I think that it goes without question that the best team to not make this finals this season was THE Manhattan Rage. I know you might think I'm crazy, but they play with more heart and soul than any other team in the SHL. They now have multiple players over 1,000 TPE and despite falling off a cliff on the final quarter of the season, had shown a lot of promise in the beginning of the season. Watch out next season as the Rage continue to build around their young core of players and really make a push for the Challenge Cup! (102 words)
