Les anglophones sont en grève!
#1

@Zoone16 No Google Translate? Fine. Here you go, slightly cleaned up for grammar.

MONTRÉAL, Québec. An incident at the hockey rink became fatal last night. At approximately 9:00 p.m., an announcement was made regarding the name of the Montréal hockey team. There was just one problem.

They made the announcement in French. Some of the English speakers in the audience were not very happy and protested, demanding to know the name of the team. The announcer repeated it in French, followed by chants of "I'm American! I don't understand French!" in an attempt to force an announcement in English.

No announcement in English came. Around 9:30 p.m., nine English speakers entered the ice and began to harass the announcer, who did not understand what was going on.

Thomas Smith, one of Montréal's prospects broke his stick, made an English curse and left the ice. This caused a riot in the English-speaking audience. Some of them left the arena and some launched insults against the French-speaking announcers. Eventually, it became physical.

Most French speakers were confused and also started riots. One of them threw a metal rod at the announcer, hitting him in the brain and killing him.

English speakers thought it was an English speaker who did this. Most of them insisted not to watch Montréal play until broadcasts in English were available.

Investigations are underway into what happened.
