I think there will be a lot of surprises in the draft, because everyone has their own idea of how they want to build a team. Sure, some people might get inside information before teams are set, but minds can always be changed. I'm excited to see what players change teams, and what trades might be made after the fact. One of the biggest things will be after the draft, when media really goes over each draft pick and debate on if it was the right move. Possibly discussing the potential reasoning behind certain picks, if they are able to pry the information from the expansion general managers. Plus after the draft, we can start to speculate how these teams will fair during the upcoming season. Will they be able to be competitive right off the bat, or will they be basement dwellers like certain SHL teams. Code: 3. Written, 2 TPE (100 words min.) Should the SHL expand to other continents outside of North America? Of course. For the SHL to expand and grow the game of hockey, they need to expand outside of North America. Who knows, possibly expanding away from North American markets will allow for the salary cap to finally expand so general managers stop paying high quality players pennies compared to other major sports in the world. I mean how can you claim to be one of the top leagues in the world, and not have your cap expand in over 30 seasons. I honestly think it's a joke and it might explain why the SHL can't get teams outside of North America. Code: 4. Written, 2 TPE (100 words min.) Code: 7. Written, 3 TPE (150 words min.) The two finals teams have decided to team up for a fundraising opportunity to benefit both cities. What noble cause will the teams decide to benefit? What sort of fundraiser will the teams hold together? How will the two teams mesh before the finals start? Before the finals, the Buffalo Stampede and New Orleans Specters will host a fundraiser for the Hand-jobs for the Deaf Organization. Did you know that for the deaf hand-jobs are some of the most difficult tasks to do? Not because the task itself is difficult, no. For a deaf person to perform a hand-job, they give up their ability to communicate. They have no way of telling the person they are pleasuring that they love them in the moment, or that that their wrists are getting tired. That's why the Stampede and Specters are cuming together for an opportunity for you to donate to the Hand-jobs for the Deaf Organization. For a $5 donation, one player from your preferred team will perform a hand-job for a deaf couple. For a $15 donation, you will be able to personally watch as a player from each team performs the hand-job for the deaf couple. Code: 16.
