The Quebec Nordiques... er I mean the Citadelles have prepared for the playoffs in traditional Quebecois fashion. We have trapped and skinned every beaver from here to the bay and crafted ourselves a mighty victory tent where we shall toast our victory with poutine and maple syrup. Everyone on the team will be wearing traditional French Canadian garb and will be speaking only in French Canadian. if any young families move into the area whilst we celebrate we shall force their children to learn French while going to our school; regardless of their parents' objections to the fact. We shall sharpen our skates and wax our banana hooks, applying a nice stain to our sticks made of maple. I don't know much about our opponents, but it is bad news for them when they face the Owls. With our GMs Ewok and Flygon leading the charge, Quebec will move on to victory and afterwards, we shall go to Dennys! Kunky Kunky Kunky Kunky yeah!!

The Carolina Kraken heavily debated between putting in overtime after practice getting some extra reps in and taking a more laid back approach, making sure everyone was well rested for the hopefully long playoff run. Kettu and Forfeit chose to stay after practice was officially over and get some extra work in, working on shot placement, redirects, passing, defensive drills, and even a few fun skate races for the hell of it. Kettu, coming off of an impressive rookie campaign, was well aware that he was lagging a bit behind others in his draft class, and knew that any and all work that he could put in would not only help him in the playoffs but also in the upcoming draft. That is, until the Kraken were knocked out of the playoffs by the Newfoundland Berserkers. It was only then that he was reminded that he wasn't actually eligible for the upcoming SHL draft. But it didn't matter, the extra work was needed. Not that it helped...
