Dear Winnipeg,

I was really grateful being drafted by Winnipeg way back during my NL days. Winnipeg management allowed me to stay for four more seasons in Newfoundland. I learned a lot out there and made a ton of friends. I'll never forget my time there and management allowed me to stay my fifth season in the SMJHL where I was able to pick up my fourth Four Star Cup. I would like to think I left my mark in Newfoundland and will always be a legend there.

My time here was bittersweet. Winnipeg drafted another goalie and they eventually took my place as their #1 prospect. My last 2 seasons and I've been relegated as a backup. In hindsight, maybe it's for the best. I've struggled to adjust to the SHL and I haven't really earned a starting role. I think I've done alright and show promise, but I haven't really hit the heights I expected of myself. I think maybe I was overconfident given my success in the SMJHL and now that I've tasted 2 seasons of professional hockey, I realize it's a different level. I need to apply myself more in practice. 

Special thanks goes to @Ace for drafting me. I'm sorry I turned out to be a complete bust, but I appreciate everything you've done for me. Another shoutout goes to @RashfordU who did everything they could for me, but could not break through my laziness. You made everything as easy as possible and give me lots of advice. I can see you being a manager whether it be here, SSL, or any other league. I definitely took some of your management style for myself when I took over Catalunya. I'm trying my best to make things as easier and accessible to all my users. It was awesome getting to play with former Zerkers as well as some new friends. I wish you all the best in the SHL and beyond. I'll always be a fan of Winnipeg and cheering for them as long as I'm not playing against y'all.

I don't know what the future holds for me, but I do know I feel satisfied with my SHL career. I'm excited to see what FA will offer me, but if I don't manage any offers I know I can retire feeling okay about the situation.
