I think for a Wolfpack home game charity event we'd ask people to bring dog food to throw on the ice. Not like, big bags of it, just a handful of loose kibble. Then we'd shovel it all up, sort it into piles of individual flavors (@luke said he'd do the taste testing to achieve this because as a GM it's his responsibility but I think he just likes dog food) and donate it to the animal shelter.

At our annual "toss" game, we ask that our fans bring a pair of winter gloves or toques to toss onto the ice. We then take those and give them to children and adults in homeless shelters who don't have any for the cold Toronto winters.

I would ask them to bring cash so they could purchase teddy bears and plushies at the rink. We would donate the proceeds from the sales and then donate the plushies and teddy bears that are thrown o the ice to double our efforts.

Fans in Winnipeg this season have been asked to throw their lightly used left sock onto the ice, no holes please and yes only the left sock... helping fight the left sock shortage currently plaguing Manitoba.

We ask teams to bring diapers to be donated to shelters each year.  The reason, if you truly give a shit you'll give.  Unsurprisingly people love it every year and the rink is absolutely stacked with diapers

This one's pretty simple, just throw your cold, hard earned cash directly on the ice. Yes, we understand that single bills don't fly very far, so you're gonna have to make it a large bundle that rolls up nice and tight. Then throw that bad boy. And I better not see any 1's.

This year Enes Gundogan has asked the Minnesota Monarchs fans to throw out chocolate bars on to the ice! Now, the chocolate bars, because they are food are not really for the charity but Gundogan will be eating them. For every chocolate bar though that is thrown on the ice, Enes will be donating a meal to a local family in need in the Twin Cities area.

Stuffed otters! They're cute and on-brand, plus they can be donated much like the teddy bear tosses in the AHL. Please no real otters.

In honour of their Scottish Defenseman, Seattle Argonauts fans should bring anything they have deep fried and throw it onto the ice, wrapped if course. And the tasty battered scram can then be donated to food banks, in case anyone fancies some deep fried pizza or a battered Mars bar!

I always love the idea of a teddy bear toss - that's what I would suggest to the management and arena staff as the item to do for a charity drive of some sort.

Edmonton would obviously have blizzards from Dairy Queen thrown onto the ice to support charity. What charity you might ask? The Jimmy Fund to support cancer patients and cancer treatment.

Patriotes ask for people to throw an appreciation hat. Nothing overboard it just provides a traditional thing to show off as a charitable cause for the patriotes and the community.

It's purple friday today and seeing my youngest kid went to school dressed up like a unicorn, I will ask the fans to also bring unicorns to the arena. Unicorns are magical and with the gifts we can give a lot of small children a magical time.

The Aurora fans bring stuffed polar bears to throw onto the ice. It’s quite beautiful. If fans purchase a stuffed polar bear at Northern Lights Arena, 25% of the proceeds goes towards research and protection of polar bear habitat.

RIP Dangel. See you on the other side, brother

Carolina will ask their fans to bring in stuffed otters because Otter Von Bismarck. Any stuffed animal will do, but preferably otters. These will be given out as holiday gifts for kids of struggling families in the surrounding area.
