Well, I saw that Hammer was leaving Kelowna as a player, and it inspired me to rework the folk song "Farewell to Nova Scotia" as a goodbye for any Kelowna Knight who graduates to the SHL.

This may be the first in a series of folk song re-writes to build the culture of Kelowna, whether they be as fan chants/songs, or team traditions, etc. I feel like for a team based on Medieval Knights, folk style music is a good fit, and as a folk nerd myself, I love re-writing old sings, since that's like 78% of our genre.

So, without further ado:

"Farewell To Old Kelowna"

The sun was setting in the west
The birds were singing on every tree
All nature seemed inclined for rest
But still there was no rest for me

Farewell to Old Kelowna, the Lake bound coast

For when I'm far away in the frozen old barn tossed
