Adam Kylrad
@Kylrad

Like all stories go for players who were in the early times in the SHL. Kylrads story starts in the same season he was drafted. S12, the last pick of the 1st round. Adam Kylrad was drafted 12OA to the Los Angeles Panthers.
Adam’s rookie season was a decent one. 15 goals, 14 assists for 29 points. Good for a Ryan Jesster nomination. S13 was similar to, with Adam scoring 14 goals, 19 assists for 33 points. Not to mention an increase in hits, from 20->73. Earning him an All Star Team, Adam’s biggest season will come in S14.

S14 was when Adam got his first taste at getting wards. Scoring 28 goals, 27 assists for 55 points. This is also his first time reaching the PPG mark in his career, only 3 seasons in. With 28 goals, he led the league in goals. Securing him the Jay McDonald award. He also won the Jeff Dar Award for best two-way forward that season. Then finally, he was nominated for his first Ron Mexico award.
S15 then, was a letdown. Only 17 goals, 14 assists for 31 points. A far way down from 55 points. S16, however, proved it to be a blip in a very promising career. Scoring 25 goals, 37 assists for 61 points. Kylrad was back on top, earning himself his 2nd Ron Mexico Nomination, and a 1st Team All Star. he was also 3rd in points for that season.

The monkey paw curls back though. Just like S15, S17 saw Kylrad come back down to earth. Only 12 goals, 20 assists for 32 points. However, something positive came from this season. As Kylrad secured his first and only Challenge Cup in his career with the Los Angeles Panthers.
S18 was another semi productive start to the season. In 27 games, Kylrad scored 12 goals, had 7 assists for 19 points. However, in a hockey trade, Atmey was traded to the Minnesota Chiefs. The trade saw Minnesota acquire Adam Klyrad, Jordan Bartow, Billy Derlago with the Panthers getting Armin Brovalchuk, John Langabeer and Jason Michaels in return. Swapping some pending UFA’s in Brovalchuk and Kylrad. 2nd half of the season saw Klyrad score 6 goals, 11 assists for 17 points. So over the course of the season, only 36 points.
S19 was going to prove to be an exciting offseason of Kylrad. Signing a 3 year deal in Minnesota. Paying him 20 mil, 15 mil, 25 mil over those 3 seasons. Yet, Kylrad would not play in Minnesota again. In a massive trade, Kylrad was Traded to the Toronto North Stars. Minnesota Received 1st OA, Eustace Eustachian, Mika Aalto. WIth Toronto getting Adam Kylrad, Tom Sawyer, 17thOA, 20thOA, Erik Lehner and 8 mil in cap space. Truly a massive trade. Anyway, back to Klyrads career.

In Toronto, Kylrad’s career was revived. In S19, he went back on a tear. Scoring 26 goals, 34 assists for 60 points.Securing him the Aidan Richan nomination for comeback player of the year. As well as his 3rd Ron Mexico nomination.
Just like clockwork though, S20 was a massive stepback. Only 14 goals, 13 assists for 27 points. Kylrad regressed right back down.

S21 saw him bounce back, as he normally does. 25 goals, 24 assists for 49 points. A pretty great season. S22 was his final season in Toronto. With that, Kylrad was traded halfway through  the season. Traded to Seattle. Seattle sent 1st, 2nd , and Shawn Swerin over to Toronto. With Seattle getting Kylrad and 2mil in cap space. Finishing the season with 40 points, it was another good season.

S23 saw another solid point production from Kylrad. 21 goals, 20 assists for 41 points. S24 saw a 36 point season. S25 & S26 were his final seasons with a PPG season. In S25 Kylrad had 22 goals, 28 assists for 50 points. S26 saw Kylrad have 20 goals, 30 assists for 50 points. Securing his final achievement, a 2nd All Star Team.
S27 saw Kylrad get traded back to Toronto in another trade. Kylrad finished out his career in Toronto. Steadily declining, S27-S31 were not highlights of Kylrads career, just the finishing out of a great career. Retiring in S31, Kylrad was a bound hall of fame player.

1005 games played, 354 goals, 422 assists for 776 points. At the point of retirement, Kylrad was 5th in points total. A career of the highest of highs following the lowest of the lows, Kylrad secured his position in the top 75 players of all time. A x3 time Ron Mexico nominee, a Jeff Dar Winner, and other accolades is what he can hang his hat on.
