Aumy Junior II is the third generation in a row playing hockey. It's definitely in their blood. His dad put him on the skates, so it's more than just a sport. In Finland it's almost like a religion, so it's their family thing for sure.

For August the path to get into hockey was an easy choice.

His uncle was the “Mad” Baron von Hecht. A larger than life figure in both Europe and IIHF play

On a muggy August day in Jacksonville, Florida; two brothers were born to the same father but different mothers, Mit and Shorsey Wobet. And from that day forward Mit vowed to dominate everything they did. Shorsey really began liking hockey so Mit took it up only to embarrass his brother in it.

Chris grew up playing pond hockey in northern Michigan with his friends and siblings. While some of the others went on to play in rec leagues, etc. Chris is the only one that kept at it and went pro.

Thankfully, my parents never introduced me to the Maple Leafs.  Rashford found his passion for hockey as a young boy, finding it easiest to skate to school during the winter rather than walk.  Once he was bought a puck and stick, the rest is history

Growing up in the United Kingdom, hockey isn't as obscure as you might think, so it wasn't impossible to go down to a skating rink or see it on TV. When I was three years old I saw the sport on TV and just said, "Yep! That is what I want to do as a career!"

Graj's father was a steelworker in Pittsburgh for the majority of his life. Every year, his father's company would buy tickets for the workers to go to a hockey game, and Philadelphia was where they went.

I was introduced to hockey by my uncle, who decided someday to go see the local hockey team in my hometown in Norway. Since he had fun there, I invited my dad and me to come to the next game and this is from there that I started to get into the sport.

Dominik's childhood love for hockey blossomed when he first attended a thrilling Anaheim Ducks game. The atmosphere, the speed of the game, and, by a large margin, the cheers of the crowd ignited a new passion that still holds to this day.

Salming learned to play hockey by watching it from the TV. He learns all new habits via videos. Just like real athletes learn to play to better with videos. Simple as that.
