Jean-François Bokassa has read all the rumors and media chatter surrounding him in the lead up to the upcoming SHL draft. A lot of ink has been spilled about the highly touted prospect from the Central African Republic. The leaked draft reports, mock drafts, and direct quotes from GMs tell the same story. “Lazy, over-hyped, doesn’t put in the work, under performing draft position, kind of a piece of shit, should be executed...” is the consensus from both scouts and SHL GMs.

Shockingly, JFB doesn’t disagree with these shameful comments (although he prefers not to be executed).

JFB will be the first to admit that he hasn’t put in the same degree of work that his idol and mentor Sven Svenson did. The young former street rat and drug dealer has been focusing on pursuits outside of the SHL but wants GMs to know that he is a strong locker room presence that plans to stick around for a long time. He currently projects to be a role player defensive defenseman that won’t require a big contract or cap hit. JFB is confident he will land in the right situation that values his off-ice intangibles and vibes/60.

Where will JFB land in the SHL draft? The question looms large in the imagination of the league and no one quite knows at this point. Many don’t care. That is understandable. But JFB assures the league that whoever ends up with this tall, handsome African Adonis won’t regret their decision.
