Terrance Nova
@sarmo

The 3rd player to reach the elusive 1000 points club. Nova took much less time than Eriksson and Anrikkanen. Drafted in the S32 SHL draft, Nova was the 9th OA pick to Minnesota.
Getting called up in S33, Nova hit the ground running. Scoring 15 goals and 21 assists for 36 points. With that, he got a Ryan Jesster nom and a part of the Rookie All Star Team. His 2nd season he showed a leap in points as well as minutes played.
S34 saw Nova going from 20 minutes a night all the way up to 27 minutes a night. With that Nova exploded for 27 goals, 26 assists for 53 points. His first of many PPG seasons. For that effort Nova got the 3rd All Star Team. S35 & S36 saw him dip a little in his play and points. Only getting 48 and 46 points.
Nova was a pure scorer. With a minimal amount of hits, he was never going to be a Jeff Dar nominee. What Nova is over this next decade is a player who puts the puck in the net. S34-43 saw him score 20+ goals each season. Along with that, over that time frame he scored 40 + points each season with that, being the 1st line star on Minnesota.
S39 saw Nova win his first Challenge Cup with Minnesota. That season he also earned an Anton Razov nomination for playoff MVP.
S43 saw Nova cross the 60 point line. Going 22 goals and 38 assists for 60 points exactly. A career high. Unfortunately for him, Jason Visser exploded for 74 points, and Louie Garrett got 62 points. Dousing the flames for any potential award nominations.
S46 was his time to shine though. A crazy breakout season by Minnesota led by Terrance Nova, cracking 75 points. His linemates also shared in that glory with Bobby Watson and Dick Skillstedt also cracking 70+ points as well. For that amazing season though, Nova won his first and only Ron Mexico, won the Sergei Karpotsov Award for most points, and got 1st All Star Team.
He continued his excellent career, albeit never again at the PPG level. S78 and S48 saw him crack 49 and 45 points. S49 saw Nova get Traded to Edmonton for Artemi Berezin and a 2nd. With that trade, Nova’s ice time went down to being a 2nd line player for the team. S49 also saw Nova win his 2nd Challenge Cup, now this time with Edmonton.
S50 saw his first time getting under 40 points since his rookie season in S33. Only getting 13 goals and 21 assists for 34 points. S51 and S52 saw a rebound though, getting 45 and 41 points. Now with 980 points in 1000 games played, Nova’s career is bound for the Hall of Fame.
S53 he signed his final deal. A 1 season deal with the Winnipeg Jets, where he saw his only taste of FHM. With 7 goals and 19 assists for 26 points. Nova crossed the 1000 point club, only being the 3rd player ever to cross that line
Nova didn’t have the award trophies like a lot of the players on the top 75 have. But the consistency over time, and being almost a PPG player in STHS alone made him deserve to be on this list. 8 seasons of being over a PPG, another 9 of having 40+ points, and 15 seasons of having 20+ goals is what made him be a HOF player. And that's why he is 25 on the top 75.
