Tom Pedersen has finished another season
#1

Another season, another media. These posts only happen when Tom Pedersen is broke. Now it is crunch time to earn some money. Tom Pedersen had an OK season last time, but it didn’t go the way he wanted that season either. In 66 games he made 24 goals and 52 assists for a total of 76 points. That was his third best season ever, but the decline is real. The numbers are going down for the second year in a row. Well, actually it is the goals tally that’s dwindling. Tom Pedersen actually had the career highest amount of assists. His +/- stats of -9 was team best and his biggest achievement all year. Finally not one of those dreadful -40 seasons.

Tom had to spend 38 minutes in the freezer which is totally average for Tom. He had an average of 23:34 on the ice. Which is about 30 seconds less than the year before that. He also had more time on the Power Play with 2:59 and more time short handed as well with 2:19. The number of giveaways was severely dropped from 71 to only 57. Takeaways was almost the same with 41.

His faceoffs skills have dropped severely last season as Tom Pedersen doesn’t practise faceoffs anymore. After the general manager made him a pure left winger instead of center the focus has been elsewhere. So the faceoff percentage dropped from 59.5% to 30.2%. Funny story. Tom Pedersen was back at center on the national team, Norway. Just as he lost his talent for it he was put back in the center where he wanted to play, but was not allowed. Tom made 62 blocks which is average. And 109 hits which is a decrease. All in all Tom Pedersen managed to hit 1 milestone the entire season and would rather forget about the whole season.

It also went rather bottoms up in the IIHFs with an abysmal match against Sweden. All in all a season to forget.

On to the next one. The new season is already underway and the start has been better than in ages. Let’s hope for a better future coming soon in Tom Pedersen’s ninth season with the Calgary Dragons. And that many more seasons are coming as well. Tom Pedersen has no intention of retiring before he becomes an unwanted free agent. But he does have a long contract
