TORONTO IS BACK! (finally...)
#1

Seven seasons has passed and they have returned back to the relevancy. Toronto ''North Stars'' are actually good again. Hard to say it since the only championship we got was in S35, but it's still better than sitting at the bottom of the table like we used to.

At this moment ''North Stars'' are in the 8th place in an entire league, 3rd place in Eastern Conference and actively fighting for that 1st place in North East Division (15-13-3). More than a half of victories we had previous season. But how bad it was before this? Let's take a quick look at it!

S75 - 17th place from 20 teams (25-40-1)
First round exit - 0:4 against Philadelphia ''Forge''

S74 - 15th place from 20 teams (30-33-3)
First round exit - 0:4 against Buffalo ''Stampede''

S73 - 16th place from 20 teams (22-39-5)
First round exit - 1:4 against New England ''Wolfpack''

S72 - 19th place from 20 teams (14-48-4)
Didn't qualify for ''Play-Offs''

S71 - 19th place from 20 teams (10-56-0)
Didn't qualify for ''Play-Offs''

S70 - 20th place from 20 teams (6-57-3)
Didn't qualify for ''Play-Offs''

S69 - 19th place from 20 teams (13-50-3)
Didn't qualify for ''Play-Offs''

Seven awful seasons, four times with not qualifying for ''Play-Offs'' and three first round exits. It was so bad that team even had to CHANGE THEIR LOGO. ''Play-Offs'' record? Terrible 1-12 (7.6%). Just 120 wins in seven seasons (25.9%). Team now has more than a half of all possible points, so it's already much better. Fans are actually coming back, rooting for us and there isn't only rats and fans of opposite teams watching our home games. Can't be sure that we will be capable to put on a fight in ''Play-Offs'', but we will definitely try our best. But what changed in this period of time? Kind of nothing, to be honest. We just got some good players from draft, made some moves and trades, so we aren't worst anymore.

Team has new leaders. Jack St. Clair just spent his sixth season playing for Edmonton ''Blizzard'' and had a season with 116 points (45+71). He decided to join Toronto on now is on a pace to repeat his personal record or even improve it. After five seasons with the same team, St. Clair took with himself to Toronto Eggward Elric too. Last season he had his best year, recording exactly 100 points (32+68). Looks like he might even improve it this year. Pretty much all greatest ''Blizzard'' players found their way to Toronto, because Oles Kobliska came with them as well, seeking his second 100+ points season. We got Louise St. Martin from them as well, but he is playing much smaller role in our success story so far. Hopefully, this works out, because we gave all of our future away just like Phoenix ''Suns'' in the NBA. There's kind of no way back.

Previously drafted players like Filip Svatos, Aumy Junior II, William Tree and Bender Junior has now much smaller roles. They are like cleaners who just picks up the leftover points. However, they are still young players who try to get some experience, so they can be successful skaters later on. Hopefully they will get bigger ice time and more opportunities later on, because now they are having a fast regression points wise. Luckily, team is doing good.

Mac Turner meanwhile is having a great rookie campaign, pushing to get 60-70 points in a regular season already. Rookie Bobby Tkachuky is doing impressive stuff as well. He might hit 50 points too this season. Rookie Florian Soderberg-Motyla meanwhile is doing solid job keeping his role on the squad. Everyone is putting in some work, so the energy is unmatched.

Only one felling of is our old guy Ryosuke Sato who is having already his 20th season in SHL and 16th season playing exactly for Toronto. 2K TPE club member who has now only 738 TPE and is close to the pension is fighting to survive and trying to get to the mark of 10 points this season. However, the squad will help him to achieve that and get him a chip before he retires. Can't be sure that he will get to the next season, right? Can't imagine him not playing though.

Both goalies Toms Zile and George Walsh are putting up some solid numbers as well, so we just gotta hope that we will be able to keep up the same level for the rest of the season, plus ''Play-Offs''. Can we make a push for the title? We will see later on. However, just gotta enjoy the moment, cause we finally don't stink and have a chance to not get swept in the first round of ''Play-Offs''.
