Edmonton Blizzard Announce Captains

It's been a while since I've had to do this as our captains have remained with us for quite some time now, but with the retirement of old man Teodors Cukurs a spot opened up in our leadership pool and several promising names were eager to fill it. Without further ado I give you the "new" on ice leadership in Edmonton.

1st Alternate Captain - Teddy Cuddles
Acquired via trade way back at the beginning of S36 he's played every game of his career in the Blizzard blue. Through 400 regular season career games he's accumulated 279 points as well as several pieces of hardware including the Ratsov in the Blizzard's recent playoff run on route to their Challenge Cup victory over the West Kendall Platoon. His value goes well beyond the sim as he's always a delightful presence in the locker room and a important part of the Blizzard scouting team. He will be reprising his role as the alternate captain, a letter he received at the beginning of the S39 season.

2nd Alternate Captain - Tor Tuck
Acquired via the S37 entry level draft he's also played every game of his career in the Blizzard blue. Through 400 regular season career games he's accumulated 225 points as well as a Scott Stevens for the leagues best defender in S44. Much like the previously mentioned Teddy Cuddles, Tor Tuck's value goes well beyond his impact in the sim. An absolute riot in the locker room he's always good for a few laughs. It doesn't hurt that he has the most TPE among all (actual) defensemen in the league too. Tuck will be the newest member to the leadership group, replacing the recently retired Teodors Cukurs.

Captain - Cory Knouse
Acquired via trade back at the beginning of the S39 he's played roughly half of his career now with the Edmonton Blizzard. Through 350 regular season games with the Blizzard he's tallied an incredible 345 points and now sits inside the top 10 in franchise scoring. While he has yet to win an award, he has been nominated for several including the Mexico and Dar awards and can always be found near the top of team scoring every season. Not the most vocal presence in the locker room, he's always around to chime in on discussion and is tremendously knowledgeable on all things sim league related. Now the oldest member of the current roster, Knouse will be reprising his role as captain.

Congratulations to @cpetrella @ErM and @ckroyal92. Here's to another successful season in Edmonton!
