May get a head start on this season's GVT, since that's a stat that normalizes for individual success vs. team success. Or, at least, that's the purpose of it. Looking at the last few seasons, it seems to have done an okay job, but others' interpretations may differ.

1. This thread didn't originally bring up McZ, and was used as a way for him to get people to compliment his player and how he should be the MVP. He lasted three posts without anyone talking about him before he brought McZehrl up himself.
2. Who brought up Bure in this thread? Who is using SHL discussion to try and pimp their own player but transparently try and make it look like they are just trying to talk about the MVP in general?

you know why I brought up my player! it was the name Banananov
Banana less points, same goals, less SB, less Hits and yep more +/- rating ... but that stat shows you a stacked team or an weak team!
only because of that I brought up VLADdy! I was from the beginning on Razin/Jakobsen who has regressed players around of 900 TPE
CGY has 11 players 1000+ TPE and one 900+
MIN idk right now
MAN has only VLADdy as 1000+ Player and then Jakobsen, Razin and Wollker with 900+!!!! the next top player is then Franklin Trey with 700 TPE and he came at the trade deadline to MAN <_<

Also the award isn't for most complete player. MVP doesn't have a set rule other than looking at the best players in the league.
Nuck should win given how close he is to the top scorers......AS A DEFENSEMAN

Exactly, your strategy didn't work, someone dropped another name, so you got triggered and had to abandon your strategy almost immediately to get your own player on the forefront of the discussion.
Also Nuck led his team in scoring, has 60 points, may have the most points in a season for a defenseman in this era, and was great in almost every aspect of the game (other than shotblocking, suck it Nuck). I won the Mexico with a 45 point season, you don't think Nuck will sweep both MVPs and the Stevens with a 60+ point season?

I always vote for the best player even over friends. As it is a computer sim all we have to go off of is what numbers we are given. We can not take leadership or unselfish play in to account when deciding as they just are not a readable static in our league.
I would have to say that I do hold a good chance at winning it and if any other member did what I did this season my vote would be for them.
I am a defender and have been all season. ( keep that in mind SHL top 100 fuckers )
As of now I am tied for the all time scoring lead in the modern era from a defensman. Something no one has done sense S16.
# 2 in Fantasy points and been in the top 3 all season long.
# 1 in assist with 47, 5 more then second place. Tied for # 2 SHL all time modern era.
# 3 in league scoring 5 points behind first place.
# 1 +/- 7 ahead of second place who also happens to be my season long defensive partner. He is +6 ahead of third place.
# 2 in Power Play goals
#1 in Power Play points
# 2 in hits
But yes I am #16 in Shot Blocks and that should cost me league :facepalm: MVP

Nuck definitely MVP ainec, a defenseman with 60+ and on nearly all leaderboards is far more impressive than a player who gets barely more points playing more minutes.

VLAD McZehrl - 20.382
Bubba Nuck - 19.542
Chernika Banananov - 19.530
Patrikov Bure - 19.293
Given that all four of them are within 1 point of each other and that the next highest after Bure is Sarantez with 17.594 (a little under two points behind), I think an argument could be made for any of them.
... I really didn't expect it to be that close. We'll see what it looks like after everyone's played 50.

My mvp is Chris Johnson. Twice as less points in about same amount Playing time as Nuck. The real mvp.
