But no one cares about build unless it produces stats. If you are smart and create a great build, you should produce. If you don't, no one cares if you have comparable builds. Stats prevail in the public eye.

Merica has outscored you every single season, and he is having a single off-season and you're trash talking? Keep up some sustained success before you do that. I've got 5 less points than you despite playing 2nd line minutes on powerplay, penalty kill and the every apparent fact I'm a friggan defenseman. What you've done this season isn't exactly brag-worthy.

Merica's having an off season, big deal. I think if a GM was offered Colt/Merica for the same package at the trade deadline, they'd take Merica 99.99% of the time. Leaving that .01% for Don Sweeney.

It will be a fair few really good seasons before I can even begin to make the argument of better, but for now I can make an argument for comparable as our attributes are fairly close and Cally in the later years is producing roughly the same as Colt is right now.
Try to to be unbiased and look at the players, without previous output, without stats but based solely on attributes and planned career length remaining. Both players as I have show are very similar in attributes or will be soon, so a smart GM would take those stats for fifteen seasons longer if given the opportunity I'd think.
As there is no reason for a player with a build like Colts to produce poorly, then again (not meant as an attack) Merica and if you want another example, Jalopski, have apparently found those reasons.
Lastly, that third rounder being added is a joke. When we traded Cally to the Riot, GoB had a 3rd rounder included going back the other way as he wasn't happy getting only CoC.
The trade I was hoping to show off is if the trading for the potential of having a new O'Callahan for another twenty seasons by giving up the sure thing now would be worth it since Colt is modeled after O'Callahans style of play.
The fact that you suggested this trade and have defended it to the death more than implies that you think Colt for O'Callahan is a good trade, which means you think you either are better, or are going to be better. Which is beyond crazy, because as pointed out numerous times, Colt has yet to show any indication that he is going to be as good as O'Callahan. Your 17 points in 22 games is an extremely small sample size, especially when you are trying to compare yourself to someone as accomplished as O'Callahan. And so far, even with less minutes, Colt hasn't shown any signs of being a future star.
Your argument of "comparable" really doesn't make any sense either, because as has been proven numerous times in the SHL's history, just because you have a lot of TPE does not mean you will produce, and anyone looking at Colt's career so far would be foolish if they thought he was headed towards being "comparable" to O'Callahan based on the small sample size of Colt. You can't just look at attributes and use that as the end-all-be-all, there is much more to it.
So no, I can't just look at both players without previous output, without stats, and look solely at their attributes and planned career length remaining.
Mac, just stop trying to defend this, no one agrees with you and you are clearly wrong in your assessment. Have a couple of 40 point, 150+ hit seasons and than re-engage.

Up until yesterday, I was 8th in Center scoring and 8th in faceoff percentage (currently 11th by 0.02%) so your timing for your comment worked out well for you.
Benefiting from a weak team and a high shot percentage? Did you really just use that as an argument against myself when Merica was the definition of that upon arrival in Manhattan playing near forty minutes every game? Now that the team isn't weak he is no longer benefiting from it.
Of course he has outscored me every season. He hasn't played below the 2nd line during his career, where I haven't played above 3rd for the vast majority of mine, so what sort of argument are you trying to make here?
Take Merica off the 1st line and PP unit and put him on the third line and the penalty kill for the same times I played all season and I'd bet 10m he could not hit 26 points in a season.

Merica played third line in Seattle and had 35+ points. He hasn't always played so many minutes or had the best linemates.
