It's an anthology series, so it's not a sequel, but it is set in a similar world. Thus, it makes sense that it would incorporate some science fiction elements.

Saw JT didn't have La La Land in his top 10 list and I was upset. That movie is so incredible, it's easily my favourite of the year. Just amazing, so sad it was never in theatres here, but watched it online.
Just beautiful, but I do love those movies of nostalgia, and live in a world of utopian past fantasy. I absolutely love Midnight in Paris for example
But I'm also a theatre loser, so musicals would be my jam, so there's that.

There's been great movies this year. Yet, none of them come close to La La Land. My review is a couple pages ago (page 64) but to say it is heads and shoulders above everything else this year is an understatement.

Limited on the 9th. Expanded to 200 theaters on the 16th. Should max out in early January.

All limited releases work the same way. The opening date is just in NY and LA. Afterwards it will either rapidly expand into wide release (1k+ theaters) or it will do a slow rollout. La La Land is doing the latter and if I've what read is correct, it should be wide by January 6th or so.

i was just bugging you guys. i have never seen and i dont plan on seeing it unless i can for free like on TV or someone buys my ticket and popcorn and pop for me.

I knew it. There's no way somebody could think it "sucked". It's simply too universal of a film. It's a true blue masterpiece and has a shout for being the best film of the decade.
