- Spangle - 12-17-2016 Quote:Originally posted by Kaisonious@Dec 17 2016, 10:21 AM It's an anthology series, so it's not a sequel, but it is set in a similar world. Thus, it makes sense that it would incorporate some science fiction elements. - JumpierPegasus - 12-17-2016 Saw JT didn't have La La Land in his top 10 list and I was upset. That movie is so incredible, it's easily my favourite of the year. Just amazing, so sad it was never in theatres here, but watched it online. Just beautiful, but I do love those movies of nostalgia, and live in a world of utopian past fantasy. I absolutely love Midnight in Paris for example But I'm also a theatre loser, so musicals would be my jam, so there's that. - Spangle - 12-17-2016 Quote:Originally posted by JumpierPegasus@Dec 17 2016, 09:05 PM There's been great movies this year. Yet, none of them come close to La La Land. My review is a couple pages ago (page 64) but to say it is heads and shoulders above everything else this year is an understatement. - Spangle - 12-17-2016 And JP, it just came out. It should be coming to a theater near you in the next few weeks. It's so glorious on the big screen. - JumpierPegasus - 12-18-2016 Quote:Originally posted by Spangle@Dec 17 2016, 07:32 PMI thought it was a limited release? Came out early December? - Spangle - 12-18-2016 Quote:Originally posted by JumpierPegasus@Dec 18 2016, 12:25 AM Limited on the 9th. Expanded to 200 theaters on the 16th. Should max out in early January. - Spangle - 12-18-2016 All limited releases work the same way. The opening date is just in NY and LA. Afterwards it will either rapidly expand into wide release (1k+ theaters) or it will do a slow rollout. La La Land is doing the latter and if I've what read is correct, it should be wide by January 6th or so. - JumpierPegasus - 12-18-2016 Quote:Originally posted by Spangle@Dec 17 2016, 09:44 PMNice would be amazing to see a non cam version - BasedMinkus - 12-18-2016 Finally JP can watch theatre on the big screen!!!! - JumpierPegasus - 12-18-2016 Quote:Originally posted by BasedMinkus@Dec 17 2016, 10:44 PMI'll be in the audience for once! - TheLastOlympian07 - 12-18-2016 La La Land sucked so much - Spangle - 12-18-2016 Quote:Originally posted by TheLastOlympian07@Dec 18 2016, 01:54 AM Did you actually see it? You cannot be serious. This must be a troll. I can see not liking it, but thinking it "sucked"? My heart. - WannabeFinn - 12-18-2016 Just watched the new Jungle Book, loved it. - TheLastOlympian07 - 12-18-2016 Quote:Originally posted by Spangle@Dec 17 2016, 10:59 PMalmost making Spangs cry tonight made me feel better. sorry not sorry spangs ![]() i was just bugging you guys. i have never seen and i dont plan on seeing it unless i can for free like on TV or someone buys my ticket and popcorn and pop for me. - Spangle - 12-18-2016 Quote:Originally posted by TheLastOlympian07@Dec 18 2016, 02:02 AM I knew it. There's no way somebody could think it "sucked". It's simply too universal of a film. It's a true blue masterpiece and has a shout for being the best film of the decade. |
