FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Edmonton Blizzard to announce the hiring of Harvey Danger as leagues newest manager

After a long three weeks of searching the Edmonton Blizzard have finally come to a resolution in the search to hire a replacement for longtime assistant manager Tommy Salami, and it came from an unlikely source. Many may think the hiring of long-time Texas Renegades defensemen Harvey Danger seems odd, but when you go to the root source of the long-time friendship of both Connor Tanner and Danger, it may not be as unlikely as one may initially think.

Harvey Danger, a recently retired player made his name known to Tanner as a draft prospect back in season 41 of the SMJHL. An exceptionally raw player at the time, Tanner saw a bit of himself in the young danger and ended up selecting him 28th overall. One of his final draft selections as a member of the Montreal Militia, now Carolina Kraken franchise. Tanner ended up moving up to the big leagues to manage with Nikolaus Scholz, father of now star Blizzard defensemen Karlstrasse Scholz and Harvey Danger went on to be selected 3rd overall by the Texas Renegades.

From there Danger went on to have a very successful career as a criminally underrated defenseman for the Renegades, but when Connor Tanner was announced as the newest head manager of the Blizzard franchise, he received a message from Danger:

"If you're looking for an assistant for the possession I would like to throw my hat into the ring as a player manager."

Unfortunately for Danger an assistant had already been select in Tommy Salami, long time analyst and director of scouting for the Blizzard, but Dangers words didn't go unnoticed.

"I had hoped someone who has been expressing interest in a management position for some time would throw their hat into the circle, Danger was the bridesmaid last time I had a need to fill this position and thankfully for all involved he gets to be the hypothetical bride this go around."

In all seriousness though I am thrilled to announce @hockeyfan as the newest assistant manager of the Edmonton Blizzard. Welcome to the Team brother.
