Business Deal goes Sour!

This story is about business. It was reported yesterday CityOfWalrus Studios contacted Seth Plaut, GM of the Edmonton Comets, who are busy right now in a scene of transition. One of the more running storylines is that the Edmonton Comets, one of the elite SHL franchises with a storied history has hit quite the bad streak when it comes to fielding a playoff worthy team. Plaut has orchestrated a couple rebuilds in the past few seasons and Edmonton fans are getting restless waiting for that sign on transition, for the better. GM Plaut has decided to take the fans’ outcry and hopes to win them over with a possible new name and a slick new identity package.

Is this rebrand enough to lift the bags off these Edmonton fans' heads?
Well as it was reported that CityOfWalrus Studios contacted Plaut in hopes to be the primary designer of the possible new logo. “In our initial offer we offered to design the team a new logo based on previous name choices, GM Plaut gave us some insight on the 3 possible team names and they were Blizzard, Freeze or Force, but none were finalized. We decided to design a logo around the name Blizzard, but our only request was that Plaut wouldn’t hire another designer for the logo until the entire package was finalized,†CityOfWalrus Studios, head graphic designer, Max Hartford said.
Early this afternoon CityOfWalrus Studios had designed just the first piece in their logo package but decided to send Plaut a 4 color logo sheet in hopes to get an idea of a color scheme, they were interested in going towards. After a couple messages were exchanged it seemed to be that Plaut and Hartford weren’t seeing eye-to-eye on the design, then the kicker happened. Plaut informed CityOfWalrus Studios that they also had another designer working on a proposal. “That was infuriating to find out after the terms we agreed upon earlier, so I made the executive decision to cut ties with the design and Edmonton’s logos,†Hartford added. Hartford went ahead a sent Plaut his final design entry with a kindly written message included.
Here at TSN we have gotten ahold of the rumored designs from CityOfWalrus Studios and also the final entry that CityOfWalrus Studios sent to Edmonton and Plaut. Below is what was reported as the 4 color logo sheet that was sent to Plaut earlier this morning. We’ve included the description that was sent also to Edmonton;

So I did some research and chose an animal that to me describes the focus and tenacity to fight a blizzard and come through victorious, that to me is the mighty Woolly Mammoth. UPDATED: A representative from CityOfWalrus Studios has informed us that they have cut ties on a design aspect; both parties are in good spirits and share no bad feelings towards each other.
DISCLAIMER: The reason behind this article isn’t to bash Seth, the reason behind the problem was a misunderstanding and I would like to keep the comments civil towards Seth and myself. I found myself half way through designing the last entry as more of a joke and dampened any anger I had at the time. This article was written to display my artwork and to share a little insight in a funny joke played today. I look forward to any comments or criticisms about my designs.
