Scudmuffin19 Code of Conduct Punishment - Toast - 02-03-2024
Good Evening SHL,
It has been brought to HO’s attention that user @scudmuffin19 has been in breach of the rules in using derogatory language as a means of a personal attack in his interaction on the SHL forums, a violation of the site’s rules on user conduct, found in section 2, Subsection J, Article 4, which reads:
Quote:Personal attacks, excessive/malicious trolling, spamming, language/rhetoric that includes hate speech (ex. racism, homophobia, ableism), or any comments made that belittle members of a certain religious, ethnic, or oppressed group will not be tolerated.
HO maintains a strict zero tolerance policy when issuing code of conduct punishments (see Setoah, Lobbanet, Mike Izzy, Nour & Zap), while retaining flexibility for case specifics. Scudmuffin19 used derogatory language as a personal attack and has not apologized to the user that this was directed at.
HO found the user to be in breach of user conduct and is issuing a first offense level punishment. This decision was made as the behavior was clearly intentional in their discussion and interaction on the forum. As such, the user scudmuffin19 is being issued a one-week posting ban, updating freeze on the portal and a three-game player ban (Sobchak Walter, goalie, SFP).
Scudmuffin19 can send an appeal request to any head of the appeals committee, currently consisting of @DrunkenTeddy and @Leafs4ever.
