EDM Cap Overage Punishment - kahri - 06-11-2024
Good Evening SHL,
Late in the S76 season it was discovered that the Edmonton Blizzard were $500,000 over the $75,000,000 roster cap limit. For this, EDM (@HabsFanFromOntario & @eggcracker) are assessed the following.
$1,000,000 Cap penalty for S77
The team was cap compliant prior to the S76 Contract Tier Adjustments but missed noting on their budget that a player's contract had been bumped up. Once notified of this, EDM released an inactive player to become roster compliant.
This punishment was voted on and communicated to the GMs prior to the season, and we apologize for the delay in posting.
EDM may appeal this punishment by contacting either head of the appeals team (@DrunkenTeddy or @Leafs4ever).
