There's a huge overlap between sim league users and tabletop gamers, with many of our LRs featuring channels to share stories and create games. Heck, the current D&D campaign I run includes two players I met through the SHL! But there's no centralized place for us to gather if we don't happen to share a server. Rock/Paper/Cardboard
This is a new online gaming collective dedicated to trading card games and tabletop roleplaying. Our main topics will, of course, be Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons, but players of all games will be welcome. Pokemon, Lorcana, Pathfinder, Cyberpunk, we can create channels for any games that our members are enthusiastic about.
A primary focus on the server will be facilitating games, both through Looking for Game channels and by offering voice chat hosting for games using other visual platforms (like Spelltable for MtG and Roll20 for all RPG systems). There's some hope that we could eventually turn some of the content into streams, edited videos, or blog content; but no members will ever be forced to participate in publicly shared materials and any monetization that may eventually happen will be funnelled back into sustaining the community.
This is very much a work-in-progress, so joining now will give you a chance to help guide the development to make our little corner of the internet the best it can be! Please send me a DM if you are interested and feel free to share this message in your LRs (even in other sim league communities).
