- Gifter of Bikes - 09-10-2013

Posted in order of the signups. Please ignore the casual tampering throughout. All in good fun, commissioners!

Ace - I had fun chatting with you on Skype that one time. Sorry about my sick kid, though. Anyway, you've made two great players and have proven to be a very capable GM. I do wish you had relocated to Buffalo instead of Baahstan, but you know that.

JayWhy - What a crazy random happenstance [that we started talking]. Did you notice that he threw you in the garbage? It's been a source of great entertainment for me these past few weeks, exchanging PMs with you. Your gif mastery is unrivaled. We do the weird stuff.

JNH - I do hope I get the chance to have you on my team at some point. I picture a locker room with you in it to be very entertaining. Good luck with your writing and your time with the Pack.

Duey - This guy. Conspires with Raycroft to bring me to Vegas, then conspires to hand me the keys to the team. Always there to answer questions or give feedback on ideas, and a true leader. I've wondered in the past what my SHL career would have looked like if you hadn't gotten me from Hamilton, but if that had happened, I wouldn't have the opportunity to put a team of my own [sort of] on the map. Also, please have some vegetarian options at LobsterFest. Thanks.

O4L - I spent a season with you in Calgary but you were pretty quiet. Now you've stepped up and taken over one of the most successful franchises in the league. Sorry for the Valentine trade fiasco.

McZ - First you throw a crazy Men's Day bash that leads to Passarella's demise, then you bounce around the league and have great success wherever you go. I'm still impressed with your desire to stick with the league despite the occasional language barriers. Germany

Sherf - A real honor to manage this guy in Prince George, and originator of the Firebirds slogan "We are danger." I'm sad that Ace is holding onto you so tightly, but I understand why. Good luck with DuJardin!

Rami - Once upon a time, Nicholas Cage put on a yarmulka and with extreme chutzpah, led a small team of goyim on an adventure of mishegas and Jewish historical significance. I watched the movie, and got bupkes.

701 - First you stalk me in the VHL, so I go inactive. Then you come to the SHL and stalk me here. Now you make a black goalie for team Germany. If I were in charge of this league, I'd claim you were my multi, though our political opinions are clearly different. On a related note, this will be the smilie to describe Dustin Rose.

Hallsy - The best trade partner I've ever had. :D You pulled off a miraculous SMJHL Cup run last season and seem poised to have another go at it. Good luck to you if you do leave the site like you've hinted at.

HFFO - One of the first friends I made on this site back in S5, and a former teammate of mine in Minnesota and Calgary. Whenever one of us asks the other some innocuous little question, it seems to turn into a 3 hour conversation. I would have hoped to bring you to Seattle some day, but now that we have your ex girlfriend on the team, I doubt that will happen, son.

Otrebor - A legend and another guy it was an honor to manage. Total professional but not static. One of those guys where it's actually accurate to describe them as a class act. Ace did well drafting you and Sherf, and I know how great a LR can be with you both in it.

Jamie - We hesitated, we debated, and ultimately we made you an offer. You took a chance on a middling team by coming to Vegas, and you were nothing but awesome. I thank you for giving us the opportunity to get to know you better and apologize for our team's inability to get it done on the ice. Hopefully you get your Cup soon.

Greebsie - You and Ivo remind me so much of me and my wife. It's been a blast getting to know the two of you better and just chatting about books, writing, tv shows, and all those media-y things. Keep me posted on your story. I love the premise, even if I would make it way darker. Tongue

Banjo Kazooie - Turk! You and Boon are the consummate Chiefs in my eyes. It's weird to think of how much has changed since our Cup run. You'll always be Captain America to me. Chiefs

Langdon - I always feel bad burying your player in the line up when you've put in the time and dedication to the team, and I'm still impressed by your desire to roleplay an enforcer even when the sim engine makes it an iffy-at-best role. Then I remember how young you are and I feel old and need a nap.

BBH - The first person on the list that I really don't know that well at all. I love Finnish goaltenders, though, so that has to count for something.

Coolstar - The second person on the list that I really don't know that well at all. I know you put in a lot of work keeping the league running at a steady pace, and I appreciate that. Sorry I don't have much to say for either of the last two.

Winter - My 2nd recruit ever! 2 out of 5, with only the first 2 doing anything. Hell, the 5th didn't even fill in the player page right and made his name Nota Fungame. Anyway, I'm really glad that I brought you to the SHL. You're full of ideas and opinions, but try to present things in a respectful way even when people disagree. You've made a stellar player in Winter and you seem primed for another Cup victory in Hamilton.

Fever - Leadership winner, perhaps? Another piece of the Wolfpack puzzle and a guy who is really dedicated to keeping the league alive. I do wish you could have let Prince George win one championship while I was there. Oh well. Also, I'm gunning for McBride's legacy, just so you know.

JP - My Chiefs draftmate! Along with Myers, who apparently doesn't give a crap that I'm doing this. Miller had a great career and I'm hoping Booch can have a similarly great career, though in Seattle instead of Minnesota. I love your work with scouting reports as well, both public and in our LR. Looking forward to more of those. I will miss you the most.

LVShark - Blainey, I still have mixed feelings about the trade to move you to Hamilton, even though that's what you wanted. You're a great locker room guy and I wish you nothing but success, except when you play against Seattle.

Kesler - What do you think about Kesler? You built a really solid player but you have a bad reputation. I'm not entirely sure why that is. I've never really had any dealings with you and certainly no negative ones, but regardless, I wish you the best with Stryker. That name, by the way, always makes me think of Mortal Kombat 3 and the movie Airplane! in this really weird mash-up way.

Deedz - The key to our Cup-winning success and a true first ballot HoFer. Your avatar is always stunningly awesome. Good luck with Tom! See you in juniors, my friend.

Kylrad - I'm still angry at you for 28 goals. Rant Also, you were awesome in your short time in Price George and I'd love to have the chance to have you in a locker room again some day. And bring PJ with you. Tongue

Orenthal James - The irony does not escape me that you were one of the last players I represented as an agent and the first agent I had to deal with as a GM. I was worried about your player when you started with your high fighting skill, but you've proven yourself to be an excellent team guy in LA.

Niko - The best jersey designer in the game and an all-around awesome guy to boot. Congrats on your marriage, my friend.

Hoff - I had big dreams; they have been crushed. Not your fault. I wish you all the best with West Kendall. Awesome LR guy and very easy going. Just the kind of person you want on your team.

Meow - I don't know you very well, but I'm thrilled to have you in Seattle. You've been a lot of fun in the LR and I can't wait to see how your player develops in the next couple of years.

Cuffy - I never really talked to you until I became that inactive guy in that league, but I enjoyed that brief time and would like to have a chance to chat with you some more. Good luck with your new player. Smile

Duddy - Last guy on the list. My first recruit after I had been in the league for all of a week. I feel like writing your section in the style of "We Didn't Start the Fire".
Thomas Vanek, Austrian, EHM, Lazy Town,
Get The Sims, vegan food, Stephanie is hot,
MP3s, exportees, Iginla is a Sabre now,
Pedobear! Get down from there! Even if it's pink hair!

Well, that's it folks. Nothing else to see here. The Billy Joel riff was much more taxing than it should have been. Move along.

When were you my GM :o

Never. I rep'd you as your agent, then I became a GM and had to talk with you now that you are an agent.
