This is my last season under contract with the Los Angeles Panthers and negotiations have stalled. It seems they don't want to pay me 50M next season. I can't figure out why.
Anyway, I'll be taking and answering questions throughout the season to make money! I'm almost broke. The 60M I came into the league with has served me well, but it is time to kick some media ass again. So bring on the questions! Anything related to me or the team is allowed, although if you ask a stupid question you'll get a stupid response (and you might get a stupid answer to a good question lol). Let's go!

I'm honestly not opposed to it, but I'm hardly "looking" for it anymore. I did reach out to one agency service this offseason, but they had some strange demand that was well above my ranking. I really don't know what they thought I was capable of in terms of calling in favors and pulling some strings.
I actually opened up the possibility to joining an agency a few seasons ago and it seemed like no one was interested. I negotiated my own and did a pretty good job I'd say, getting good money but also not handicapping the team.
Considering that at this point, negotiations with Los Angeles have stalled, I might need one before all is said and done.

I suppose it is because they haven't reached out to me and I haven't reached out to anyone either. There might be mutual interest, but I guess we will just have to see what happens. If they can get me the best deal, either with LA in an extension or in the offseason, then I'd be willing to talk.

I'm not saying that at all. In fact I've been in negotiations with the Panthers Front Office for most of the season. We keep in touch fairly frequently. Of course, by "keep in touch" I really mean they send me messages that I ignore as a bargaining tool. It means I don't like the offer, or I'm not ready to accept it.
I've enjoyed my time with the Panthers so far in my career. They have a really great group of guys and we have always been competitive. That is a tough combination to find. I'd like to stay, but I'd also like to be able to be financially stable. Although we make a lot of money to play a game, we also have to pay for our own training and our own equipment. Frankly, I've been running out of money for a while now. I built up a nice base when I was younger and I thought it would last me longer than it has - I haven't even been able to buy new equipment this year! I'd like to get back on the top in terms of training and equipment, and to do that, I'll need more cash flow.

Well, the honest answer would be anyone with a need for my position. Being a goalie limits my options as there aren't multiple positions like there are for skaters. While I think that I'm good enough to start or be the primary guy for a lot of teams, most teams wouldn't bring me in if they have a comparable person already in the spot, especially that they are familiar with.
Hamilton would likely be out if Tanner was still in net for them, as I don't see them seeking out a goalie upgrade. Manhattan would definitely be out, as they have James in net and wouldn't have a need for me - plus I can't join the team that eliminated us last year.
Minnesota would likely be an option, although they have two goalies currently, I think they might consider an upgrade over Ranjan. He's been a solid option for them, but considering his time in the league versus mine, they might take the higher work ethic that has been the case so far. New England is another team that has a goalie but might seek an upgrade, so I would have to give them some consideration.
I would consider West Kendall just to make Schmidt my backup. Ha!
I doubt Calgary would want me with a younger prospect on the roster. It would be an upgrade, but I don't know if they need it yet. When I came into the league, I did love the history of goalies there. It seemed like the most prestigious goalie position in the league.
I don't see Edmonton as an option unless they were gonna move on from old man Aittokallio! Seattle seems like they have two goalies for the future, so I'd be surprised if they are in the market for a goalie in the offseason. Making Phil Osgoode my backup would be fun though.
The Renegades are set with FourFour, and also don't seem like a character fit to me. Jets have Prikulis, so they're likely not gonna be interested.
Panthers would probably top my list for familiarity and fit.

I think I could definitely consider it, as long as I got the bigger portion. I think I'm having the best "contract year" that a player could ask for. If I were a skater putting up near record setting numbers, I would have a lot more say in the matter and a lot more room to bargain with, so I think pairing myself with a skater could be beneficial, a package deal.

Well if I couldn't be the goalie, is backup goalie an option? Shitler plays like 6 games a year and gets paid handsomely, it must be nice. In fact, that shit stain hasn't stepped on the ice this year and is still getting paid. That sounds like the damn life I want. I'd rather coach or be a trainer of some sorts than be a skater. I'm too lazy.

I live in an apartment because the Panthers won't pay me enough to be able to afford training AND a house. What I do instead, is send every Player of the Game award to a random fan. I think it is a cool memorabilia thing and a way to raise fan support. I don't know if it is working or not.

Honestly, if I don't get paid, I'll likely just stop training. I went hard on the money earning when I joined to get that $60M, and I'm proud of that. I'm also super burnt out on it - the fact is, I don't know enough about the SHL to write that much anymore. I used to keep track of it and be able to talk confidently about it, but nowadays I'm always way behind or way off on what I think is going on. I pop in from time to time and occasionally post something incredibly stupid, but I'm hardly what you would consider "active." I just don't know if I see myself writing much anymore, because I would have to do a ton of research first. I also took advantage of media when it paid more, I don't think it pays as much anymore. Graphics would be nice, but they pay hot street trash in terms of the reward for the time put in.

Probably not, in terms of GMing. Those teams are likely going to be really bad because of how the draft is setup. I get that you don't want to load up the expansion teams, but I really think that teams should've protected 4 players and then the teams pick from the rest. It wouldn't cripple a current team but also wouldn't start off these expansion teams with an absolutely horrid roster.
However, I would consider, and will consider in free agency, playing for one of these teams. I think I have a lot left in the tank, and I'm low maintenance, which might be good for a team that is going to need some consistency for awhile. They would also likely have way more cap space, which could be huge for where I sign. Most teams can't afford to give me an outrageous contract, an expansion team probably could.

[i]Well for one, they have Jordin FourFour on their team (you knew this). This means that I wouldn't get any playing time, and while I'm willing to accept that FourFour is a better option in net, I'm not willing to accept that I don't deserve to be a starting goalie in this league.
If we pretend for a moment, that they don't have FourFour on the roster, then the answer is largely because I don't really know anyone on the team. I have no connections there, so I feel like I would be out of place. I also feel like Texas has a bad reputation, or at least that is what I have gathered from my 5 minutes or so that I come around the site. I feel like I garnered enough distaste early on in my career and that pushed me away from being 100% active anymore. Now I mostly sit back in the shadows, so I don't need any unwanted negativity! I don't know that it is warranted, or if I'm even right, I just feel like I've seen that trend of people disliking Texas.

What is the game plan for earning money? Another $50M media blitz followed by six seasons of silence (Six Seasons of Silence would be a great band name btw) or are you going to be more regular in the press now?
Assuming the Platoon don't sign you and make Schmidt the backup, would you be interested in playing for, or GM'ing one of the expansion teams? If you could choose, where would you expand to?
