Unlike some folks who take forever to determine and create a media circle for themselves in regards to their free agency status. I had mentioned that as I never had actually tested free agency in the SHL that this year it may be fun to see how that would work and if teams would be vying for Alexandersen's services.
When I made the announcement that I would test for Free Agency I was hoping to see a more positive outcome on the situation but I guess that was not the case. I was told I would be tied to a pole by the Renegades so I don't leave and other positive statements and a promise to be a cornerstone of the team in the future. The additions of Nike, Maxy, Dooley, Maytee, and Taron to the fold this team is one I feel I would like to stick around with for the near future as you begin to like the guys and where thoughts of going to another team had entered my head this is my new home.
So, without the excitement I was hoping for to come with Free Agency and the expectations that were set by the Texas Renegades I have opted to sign a contract extension where the terms of the agreement cannot be made public due to club policy (Deener go post).
I was seriously looking forward to testing free agency but the lack of possible interest and the desire from the Texas Renegades to keep me around helped make this decision easier. Plus having Deener as a GM and the work he has done to improve this squad and his vision to continue to improve it are also key deciding factors in staying with the Renegades.
I'm glad to be staying in Texas!

Even though I could have been a FA next season technically teams can still be excited for a name on the board. Without that excitement and as I said the desire of Texas to retain it's only logical. If you aren't interested now, then I won't buy your "interest" later.

You do know teams can't really show any interest in a player until they are a free agent as it would be tampering?
