- BarnabasCollins - 08-19-2015 A great man has fallen from grace. You all know this man. He is a man who once toiled endlessly for you. He filled your coffers with gold so that you might prosper and fulfill your dreams. And you mocked him. He read the tormented, sick and twisted ramblings of simulation hockey players for season upon season. And still you mocked him. You mocked one of the strong parts of the backbone that was the simulation hockey league. Day after day, night upon night, he toiled in the arenas across this league. One of the great stars who wanted more than to just be a player. He wanted to give back. And so he did. This was the money man who made sure you all were paid for your toils. And he was glad to do it. And you took him for granted. And you still mocked him. What happens in the mind of a man forced to read the endless babble day in and day out of mind numbing press conferences. Of shameless self promotion. Of simulation hockey players wreaking havoc upon their counterparts with no regard at all for the man who had to read them all. For the man who had to reward them for it all. It eats at his soul, yet he perseveres. Season after season he toils. For all of you. And you mock him. Cracks begin to show in the once mighty man. He begins to lash out as the pressures and the voices begin to consume him. And still you mock him. One day an opportunity arises. An opportunity to escape the madness. An opportunity to start with something fresh. He begins to feel the possibilities and a tiny spark of hope arises deep in him. I can make the voices stop he thinks. I can still make a difference. The mighty warrior who toiled endlessly for you all so you didn't have to. He can finally get the chance to break away from the thankless anonymity of seasons of service that let this league function. He was the zamboni driver smoothing your ice for you so that you could thrive. And once again you failed him. A few recognized his struggles. They sought to reward him with the prize he would have loved to receive. A chance to stop reading the insane rantings of his fellow members. But he was not trusted. All the back breaking years of toil were for naught. He was denied the prize. He was hurt and disappointed that once again his endless years of toil were met with utter disregard. And the once mighty man snapped. And the voices were back in full force and they had him do what he should not have done. Was their understanding for his hurt and pain? There was suspension and fines for his actions. And now, his reputation in shambles where does this warrior go from here? Will he come back and seek vengeance upon those who have wronged him? Or will he come back with a fire burning in his heart to seek out and help the oppressed of the simulation hockey league so they do not suffer the same fate? When a man's heart is full of deceit, it burns up, dies, and a dark shadow falls over his soul. From the ashes of a once great man has risen a curse. A wrong that must be righted. We look to the skies for a vindicator. Someone to strike fear into the black hearts of the same men who created him. The battle between good and evil has begun. Against an army of shadows comes a dark warrior. The purveyor of good with the voice of silence and a mission of justice.
