- Possum Queen - 11-04-2016 Spreadsheet here GVT (Goals Versus Threshold) is a standardized statistic that measures "the value of a player, in goals, above what a replacement player would have contributed." It adjusts for minutes played and for team success, so someone who played well on a shitty team will be recognized accordingly, as will someone who played well but lacked in ice time. A full explanation (including how it's calculated) can be found here: Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 This year's notes: -For a second consecutive season, VLAD McZehrl ![]() -Right behind him: -Kristian Eriksson ![]() -Lord Pretty Flacko ![]() -The best defensive player was Patrick Brumm ![]() -Nolan Angello ![]() -From the same team, Dickie Pecker ![]() Past Years: S30 S29 S28 S27 S24 S22 S21 Also, in case people are curious - these are the team stats at the bottom GVt: Goal Value (varies team to team) AVt: Assist Value (varies team to team) TOCf: Threshold offensive contribution per minute (forward) TOCd: Threshold offensive contribution per minute (defenseman) SVg: League total saves by goalies SFg: League total shots faced by goalies SPa: League average SV% GAA1: League average GAA (only calculated using starters) SPt: Threshold SV% SAa: League average shots allowed by team SAt: Shots allowed by each team SPMteam: Fewer shots allowed than league average (a negative value means the team allowed more than the league average) ADMPt: The team's total adjusted defensive minutes played ("defensive minutes" are calculated differently for forwards and defenseman) GF: Team goals for GA: Team goals against - WannabeFinn - 11-04-2016 more proof that I'm the GOAT Panther Wasty - WannabeFinn - 11-04-2016 btw Tanner Creller plays for Edmonton not Seattle - Possum Queen - 11-04-2016 Quote:Originally posted by WannabeFinn@Nov 4 2016, 10:23 AMHow the fuck did-- Going to fix that <_< - ArGarBarGar - 11-04-2016 With the defense Minnesota had I don't get how my GVT was only 4 or whatever. - fgh - 11-04-2016 2nd DGVT among rookies ain't bad (especially within 0.03 of 1st OVA). I'll take it. - Pandar - 11-04-2016 I love seeing this every season Tanner Also, I'm amused by the fact that I led the league in assists and defensemen in points, and I'm still only getting an OGVT of 1.826 - WannabeFinn - 11-04-2016 Quote:Originally posted by Pandar@Nov 4 2016, 11:45 AMOGVT is influenced much more by goals rather than assists you also played 27 minutes per game on the 2nd highest scoring team in the league, so.. that's probably why - Chris-McZehrl - 11-04-2016 but VLAD sucked this season! he won nothing so he sucks very hard this season! KILL HIM - ArGarBarGar - 11-04-2016 Quote:Originally posted by Chris-McZehrl@Nov 4 2016, 12:44 PMNo awards for Vlad this year. Sad trombone. - Chris-McZehrl - 11-04-2016 Quote:Originally posted by ArGarBarGar@Nov 4 2016, 06:47 PM Flacko will win this season all my awards with less points     so stupid as note ... I look here to the S30 - ArGarBarGar - 11-04-2016 Quote:Originally posted by Chris-McZehrl@Nov 4 2016, 12:53 PMHe doesn't have a 60+ point defenseman to compete against, which will help. Though Wagner did also lead his team in points as a defenseman, so I could see him winning it. - ThatDamnWalrus - 11-04-2016 Angello <3 - jason97 - 11-04-2016 not too shabby - Possum Queen - 11-04-2016 Edited in links to past years |
