Statement from Green’s management

[Image: 20130528_102229_patirck-roy-coach-4.jpg]

With the early departure of the Prince George Firebrids, Xander Green had a lot of time on his hands to look towards the future and look at the teams where he can see himself playing. One of the things important for Xander is the ability to help the Firebirds end their 25 year long streak of not winning the Four Star Cup, and while it is unlikely that next year is the year, he certainly wants another season in Brittish Columbia. How many seasons he wants to stay down is still unclear at the point, but when he gets out of the juniors, he want to be able to have a strong rookie season and contribute to the team that drafts him and not just be a filler on the ice. Xander Green could be a risky pick for people, as people have been saying that he might just go to Free Agency after his rookie contract is up and with his desire to help Prince George, this might as well become the entire tenure.

What is most important to Green is that he ends up in a place where he sees himself playing, an environment that he can enjoy and he doesn’t have to feel annoyed at. Previously we already seen him talking about Texas and how it would not be an option for him, but it’s not the only place he does not see himself playing for, there are teams with GM’s that he does not really like, players that he does not like to be around, he can be a picky fellow.

So advice to any General Manager out there is too atleast reach out if you feel you are going to pick him, as if you don’t you know he will probably just leave for one of the places that did and he did like. He realizes the control of drafting a player does not lie with him, but with the teams, but he does realize that after three seasons, the power can indeed come to him, so while the teams may see me as potential tradebait, they also need to realize that he wouldn’t accomodate to a sign and trade option. If Green doesn’t like the spot where he ends up, he will likely end up leaving and leave the franchise that drafted him with empty hands, while they could have had a player that actually liked to be there and would have stayed for much longer.

Some feel this is arrogant of Green, but it’s just his personality, he doesn’t do this to be a dick, he does this to make sure he ends up at a place where he can develop as a player and get enjoyment out of what he does. We realize that there are questions regarding his physical health, as no one has seen him on the ice after he got an accident last friday as he got hit by a car. As his management we would like to announce that he is safe and came out unharmed (unlike his vehicle). This issue has stayed out of the press as we were afraid that it would raise many questions. Now that he is recovering from that we would like to give the green light about his future and that playing hockey is not in danger for this young fellow.

For now we will not be available for questions in public, if there is anything you want to know from us, just give us a call or an e-mail. We will happily answer you from there on.

Ivo Willems
Team LTD Manager.

Yeah those two aren't a great showing for players who came from pgf to buf. Maybe Green will finally be a good player who does this move

Green has assured me that he has zero interest in the wolfpack unless fantasy TPE is distributed.
