Im looking to upgrade my cpu to a Ryzen processor.

My choices are between the 1500x, 1600 or 1600x. The 1500x is at 204.99 right now whereas the 1600 is 264.99 and 1600x at 279.99. Which should i get. Lets say i am on a budget of 1000$ for a cpu from scratch. From Canada by the way.

What are you looking to build? An average gaming PC?

I would say pick the other parts for your PC and circle back to this based on your remaining budget. I think the 1500x will be just fine for what you're going to be doing. If there's room left in the budget and you feel like investing as much as you can within that $1,000 limit, then sure go for the 1600/1600x. But the 1500x is going to do ya just fine.

I have the 1600 and it's a MONSTER but if i had to go and do it again i'd probably grab the 1600x it's a little bit more but the value is there imo

1500x for 204.99 sounds like a deal but maybe 65$ is worth it for the 6 core/ 12 threads over the 4 core/ 8 threads lol. This is the dilemma im having

ya i had an incident when i got all my shit replaced... i just wanted to update my processor but apparently what happened was that my old motherboard wasn't compatible with the ryzen so it turned into a costly endeavour
