Personally, I'm getting a little sick of people unretiring because they don't like their new guy. To me, retirement should be final and that's it, but let's see what you guys think.

I wouldn't ban unretirement completely, but maybe we should implement some kind of penalty for the unretired player. For example, for every year he was gone he lost 10% of his total TPE or something like that. The years a player wasn't active should also count against his regression-timer (if they don't already do).

thats bullshit, if you can sit out and say you are only going to play for 1 team of your choice, you should be allowed to unretire your player.

If u are going to ban one thing you should ban the other thing.

Or put a rule in place where you have to play like 3 seasons before you can retire a player.

IMO, this plus not being allowed to unretire a player until a certain amount of seasons have passed.

But what about guys like me who are going to get a fair amount of seasons out of my second player (4 seasons in, will go at least 2 more) and want to bring my original player back. I understand why we want to get rid of allowing people to retire and unretire every other season, but some of us aren't just flip flopping our decisions.

Because it's annoying and is happening FAR too often. Seems like every week now, somebody else is retiring and unretiring.

let's use this as en example.

User creates Gretzky, Gretzky has great career and then retires. User creates Gretzky junior and wants to play with his friends, and makes it known he will only play for a certain team.

He gets drafted by a different team, so he retires the player, fucking over that team, and then brings Gretzky back to where he wants to be because things didn't work out his way.

hence why you should put in a rule where you have to play at least three seasons with one player, I have played with Summers for 3 seasons and will play out my next season two, but I may want to bring back Karpo after that.
