- RomanesEuntDomus - 06-24-2012 Two quick suggestions from me... 1) Don't allow trades with a condition like "if xy happens, this trade is void". Those trades mess everything up, especially if there are follow-up-trades that rely on that trade. GMs can always build in some kind of saftey-clause, but they should have to deal with those cases themselves and not just be able to void them because someone traded in front of them and they might not get the player they want. If you are not sure if the player you want will still be there, wait with the finalization of the deal until the draft, like it works in reality. 2) IHF-teams should be allowed to habe 23 players on their roster, not just 20. I think that's pretty self-explanatory, it's more realistic, gives more guys the chance to play for their country and gives GM more flexibility in terms of lines, tactics etc. - RomanesEuntDomus - 06-24-2012 Any thoughts? A lot of reads but no comments yet ![]() - BBH - 06-24-2012 I agree with both. - BBH - 06-24-2012 But apparently my opinion means nothing on this site. ![]() - Spangle - 06-24-2012 1. I agree. 2. I disagree. I instituted it as 20 players per team because there should be no testing to see if things work. It should just be the 20 best players from the country and that's it. I also like to keep the pool as large as possible for Team World. - Ochocinco - 06-24-2012 I disagree with both. The necessary things to happen resting on a deal is in no way a hinderance. As well on IHF teams, the 3 other guys are hardly useful as they'd just take playing time from three guys who should be there more deservingly. - Hallsy - 06-24-2012 Quote:Originally posted by Sponges@Jun 24 2012, 06:35 PM ![]() - RomanesEuntDomus - 06-24-2012 Quote:Originally posted by Sponges@Jun 25 2012, 01:35 AM Doesn't Team World just recruit out of Team Canada leftovers anyway? I don't think that would be much of an issue. - Spangle - 06-24-2012 Quote:Originally posted by OcAirlines@Jun 24 2012, 08:37 PM No, they take leftovers from every team. - Hallsy - 06-24-2012 Quote:Originally posted by Ochocinco@Jun 24 2012, 06:36 PMOnce you send in a trade in the NHL, i don't think you can cancel the deal once it becomes official. Unrealistic IMO and we should also get rid of PO and TO, are they in the NHL, No and we should also set up a Buy-out system so, GMS can Buy-out players because of their bad Character or they are inactive and have highly payed contracts. - Munk - 06-24-2012 Quote:Originally posted by OcAirlines@Jun 24 2012, 05:37 PM Team..World.. @_@ - Ochocinco - 06-24-2012 Quote:Originally posted by Hallsy@Jun 24 2012, 05:39 PMJust because its never happened doesn't make it illegal. They have conditions all the time in trades. - RomanesEuntDomus - 06-24-2012 Quote:Originally posted by Sponges@Jun 25 2012, 01:38 AM I know they can do that, but the other teams usually don't have anyone left worth picking up, especially with the new finals rule in place. - Ochocinco - 06-24-2012 Quote:Originally posted by OcAirlines@Jun 24 2012, 05:46 PMYou've just contradicted yourself, which proves our points. There's no one left worth picking up, leave it at 20. ![]() - RomanesEuntDomus - 06-24-2012 Quote:Originally posted by Ochocinco@Jun 25 2012, 01:48 AM Sorry but that makes just as little sense as your first statement in that thread ![]() It would've made a lot of sense for me with Team Germany to take 3 more guys to the IHF (a D, a C and a W), I know Canada planned something like this as well and other teams probably would've had to, if the were allowed to. I just think that it's bullshit that you can't have any extra-players at all on your roster, the limit doesn't necessarily have to be 23, but at least get it up to 21 or 22 |
